What is the trick to treating Keratosis Pilaris? Bumps, redness and dry. What are out there..? What worked for you?

Try using Vit. E lotion. I used to have worse KP especially on my shoulder. I tried different products, such as CeraVe, Amlactin, Glytone and others but nothing works like I wanted. However, since I started Vit. E lotion a month ago now it is very subtle. I use a lotion with whitening effects and spf in the morning and Vit. E lotion at night.

@EPaden physical exfoliation (I use Ahava  mineral body exfoliator) and acid/urea moisturizer like Gold Bond rough and bumpy, eucerin repair line. KP is kertain buildup at the hair follicle. Also using, with a puff, Mario Badescu citrus body wash..they do have another AHA wash.

@Anonymous   I agree with @infinitebrevity  that moisturizing is important.  From my understanding (my son has had this on his upper arms for as long as I can remember,) kp results from the skin not shedding quickly enough as the new skin forms.

These two products were the best I'd found for him- both from Derma Doctor.

Stay hydrated. Moisturizing regularly, and talkin baths with bath bombs to moisturizie my skin. Try to about picking at it!
