Over the past six months, we’ve been behind the scenes making plans for an exciting new release that we can’t wait to show you. Thank you for letting us into your lives (and your mailbox). We hope you found some new favorite products and learned a few tips and tricks along the way. Goodbyes are never easy, but we promise you’ll love what we have in store for you next.

When I read my emails this morning and discovered that Play was ending I was sad and shocked. Play! is something we all look forward to every month and during this pandemic it's one of the few normalcies we have left. Although I'm sure the new alternative will be awesome, I like thousands and thousands of others recently got laid off and 25 bucks a month simply doesn't fit into the budget right now. Looks like I'll have to return to Ipsy for the time being. I wish you guys all the best on your new endeavor.

Hopefully once everything gets back to normal I can try out the Luxe Box, but for now I'm just going to be bummed out.

I think it’s a great move. Something like Ipsy has is a wonderful idea.

Except what they’re offering isn’t like what Ipsy does. Ipsy’s is still a subscription; this you’ll just have to buy. I think the subscription would go over better than a $25 box that will go out of stock fast most likely. 😞

I was shocked and disappointed to get an email today that Play! is ending. Play! hasn't been loved by everyone, but I was truly appreciative. The surprise variety was fun. I liked that the products were entirely from Sephora so I could count on buying them there and adding to my reward points. I was disappointed when the bonus points cards went away (50 points any time you made a Sephora purchase was an awesome deal.) It's always been my way of sampling products in a safe and healthy manner, and now with beauty store closures due to the pandemic, it's the only way. Will the new Favorites sets be subscriber only? I hope I like the changes, but honestly I am uncertain right now.

@BeautyScientist Hi there, the new Favorites sets will not be subscription only and, like PLAY!, will be a great way to try out brands and products we carry so you can discover your next beauty loves.

I am confused by this as the Favorites sets are currently not subscription only. I am assuming the only difference will be we can choose our products? Will there be a price difference between Play! and the new options?

@BeautyScientist  Correct, this will not be a subscription and you can choose to purchase sets or opt to not purchase when each new one launches. The first box will be $25 but we also have a set coming out in May that will be $10. We want to be able to give you more choice to choose the sets you want!

This is beyond disappointing.  I love play and can not afford a 25$ box . I hope they bring a similar item back ☹ this is so so sad. I guess back to ipsy I go.
