Over the past six months, we’ve been behind the scenes making plans for an exciting new release that we can’t wait to show you. Thank you for letting us into your lives (and your mailbox). We hope you found some new favorite products and learned a few tips and tricks along the way. Goodbyes are never easy, but we promise you’ll love what we have in store for you next.

So, what subscription are all of you going to? I know I won’t be able to do the $25 Lux. Has anyone done Birchbox, Allure or Ipsy? Are there other good affordable ones?

I have both Ipsy and Allure, and I love them both. They have both introduced me to great products I would probably not have tried on my own. Ipsy is slightly cheaper, does allow you to pick one of your products, and is customized to your beauty profile (although people seem to complain that their glam bags don’t reflect their profile, mine seem to match). I hope you find a new subscription box you love!

Elle is definitely good. I haven't tried Ipsy yet.

I have Allure and Ipsy. Both are way better than Play imho. Play was great for the first 6-9 months, then I was getting so many duplicates. I've never had a duplicate with either Allure or Ipsy... and you get way more product variety with those two. Allure will occasionally give you a full size product in your box. Ipsy is probably my favorite of the two. It's more interactive, you get to pick one of your monthly products, and you can choose to buy extra products every month if you want. Also, Ipsy membership includes the Ipsy shopper. You can buy products and get either a discount or cashback. Ipsy is $12 plus taxes for the basic subscription, and Allure is $15 plus taxes. The extra $2-$5 is well worth it for either subscription.

Noooooo! I loved my play boxes! Even with all the repeats! $10 was so affordable! Im not sure I can do a $25/month one.

I hope Sephora will keep the future options around $10! It was an affordable and attractive price for what we got. As the Sephora Favorites currently are, the new ones are usually $25+ for skin/makeup and sometimes $18- for hair care. They also feature a lot of repeats. So the Favorites need a makeover, but hopefully it will be an affordable one. If not, I would definitely consider other beauty box options.

This is such a bummer! I love getting my Play box every month. The new release of Sephora favorites priced at $25...while I'm sure it's a good value it exceeds my monthly budget. Disappointed in this decision. I hope there's better news when they actually announce the new release, though I'm not expecting much.

I'll keep an eye out, happy to hear it'll be at the same price point. However, it doesn't replace the excitement of getting an assortment of samples that are a complete surprise. Now more than ever, I was really looking forward to my Play! boxes and I'm sure there are many other subscribers that feel the same.

Are we getting a April box? because i was charged for April already

Yes, April will be the last box you receive. You will not receive any additional charges for your PLAY! by SEPHORA subscription.

I just enrolled and my ckg acct was debited on 4.2.20. How soon will I receive what will be my 1st and last box? My order says it was cancelled and therefore there is no way to track my shipment. There is No credit to my ckg accout either although I prefer my box asap! Help.

Lol I re-subscribed only to be told it’s ending. I enjoyed the subscription, and to hear you’re not doing anything as a subscription to replace the box is upsetting.

We are replacing PLAY! with an expansion of the Sephora Favorites Kit program. The new sets will have something for everyone - great value and more options to chose from.
