Post in Oily Skin

New to makeup..helps.

Okay so i decided to try makeup...but the issue is i had an allergic reaction to makeup before in middle school due to my oily skin (and maybe my bad luck in the gene pools) and trying to rebuild this trust with makeup is... complex for me.. so i wanted to try some makeup thats out on the market because being an art youtuber i gotta look at least decent for the peoples. Not to glam maybe a little sparkle glam. a know start low and slow.

@LibitinaBrayton I'm sorry that you had a bad experience before!  You're right, though, start off slowly but don't feel like you HAVE to wear makeup at all if it makes you uncomfortable.  Makeup should be fun.  Do you know where you'd like to start?

Re: New to makeup..helps.

I like the sound of your approach @LibitinaBrayton do you know what ingredients you were allergic too? That's going to be important information and you may want to keep track of it going forward.  You'll know what to avoid in the future.

Also, I'd recommend not using anything on your face right away. Do a patch test somewhere like your inner elbow first, and give it time, like 24-48 hours to see if you react before using it somewhere like your face.
