How to tell if you have oily skin

I always thought I had oily skin but then a friend told me I might not actually and it’s just always super dehydrated? Does that make sense?

Hi, @Calcifear !  If your skin is dry or dehydrated, your skin will over produce oil, making it seem like you have oily skin.  Once you start moisturizing to hydrate/rehydrate your skin, your oil production should go back to normal (assuming you really don't have oily skin).
