Canada shipping via FedEx

Why?  WHYYYYYYY????  Why has my package been sent via FedEx?  They are *useless* in delivering packages in Canada, even when the full legal mailing address is literally staring them right in the face.

Sephora, I thought you were trying to get on our good side?  Why this epic shipping fail?  Why the shift from Canada Post?  This will not bode well with most of your Canadian customers, especially us Rouge's who order a lot.

**EDITING TO ADD SOLUTION TO OUR PROBLEMS**

For those who have a Canada Post close to them (like in a Shoppers, etc), you can go to the Canada Post website and sign up for a service called "FLEX DELIVERY".... this will provide you a P.O. Box address to ship to, and it will be delivered directly to the Canada Post counter (note: no attempt will be made to deliver to your home).  You'll get an email notifying you when it's available for pick-up.  When you place your order with Sephora, just use your new Flex Delivery address, and that will guarantee it's delivered via Canada Post.

Re: Canada shipping via FedEx

Totally agree! FedEx is terrible! Im not home during the day so i cant have delivery, and when i called them they said the nearest pickup location is almost an hour and half each way! If Sephora diesnt switch back to Canada Post i may have to shop elsewher. So frustrating

Re: Canada shipping via FedEx

Just to add - FedEx is definitely going to cause me to order less often. They either leave it unsafely on my front door in full street view, or I have to drive 45 minutes across town to pick up from the terminal since I’m never home during the day. I hope you go back to Canada Post !

Re: Canada shipping via FedEx

Yeah same... The post office is 5 min drive from my place and the closest Fedex is 25min away after going through major traffic jams. Gosh they need to switch back to CP!!

Re: Canada shipping via FedEx

Sephora needs to go back to using only Canada Post! I’ve never had problems with them and the package is always left in my parcel box. Recent order shipped via FedEx and it was left outside my front door. This in itself is not an issue but I’ve had bad experiences with FedEx before trying to pick up a parcel from their pick-up place. They have terrible hours to attempt to pick up any parcel and I don’t ever want to have to struggle with getting my items.

Re: Canada shipping via FedEx

I am extremely unimpressed by the switch to Fedex. I contacted customer support regarding if they where switching and they didn't even have the courtesy to tell me that it was dependent on where I live - as I see from others who reached out to Sephora on this post. All I got was it "determined by availability and method of shipment" and that they cannot change the shipping carrier because it is "automatically selected".

Seriously Sephora, if you are going to make such a significant change to your shipping method, the least you could do is inform customers correctly when they contact you.

RE: Canada shipping via FedEx

I’m also disappointed that Sephora moved to FedEx Ground. I had two packages returned to Sephora because I couldn’t get them redirected. According to FedEx, Sephora doesn’t allow packages to be redirected. When I called Sephora they confirmed that. Apparently packages ship either Canada Post or FedEx Ground depending on where you live. I’m in BC and it’s now FedEx Ground. Free shipping was the best part of being Rouge, and now I can’t even ship to my house. What’s the point?

RE: Canada shipping via FedEx

My sister and I just noticed this for both of our orders arriving this week! Boooooo! Sephora and Canada Post always appear to work so smoothly for us with no complaints ever. it’s a shame they’ve made this switch, and I hope they switch it back ASAP.

Re: Canada shipping via FedEx

I completely agree. It was great with Canada Post. Very unimpressed!

Hi @milhouse

Sorry for the trouble! I'll share this feedback with the appropriate department.

Best,

Re: Canada shipping via FedEx

I have had nothing but horrible experiences with Fedex, and it is now EXTREMELY inconvenient to order anything through your website, and it is even less convenient for me to get to a shopping centre that has a Sephora in it. I have been a faithful  rouge member for several years now (and we all know you have to maintain a minimum $1000 yearly spend to keep the membership...) but I am absolutely reconsidering buying any of my makeup from your store now that you have switched shipment carriers. I will not be making any further purchases from your online store ever again.

Fedex doesn't even attempt to deliver my packages - they just leave the doortags that say they "tried", and I often find these "sorry we missed you" doortags left at my apartment despite having been home the entire day - they don't call my  phone or buzz my apartment - they don't even try to deliver the package. Then they insist that I pick up my package myself from the Fedex facility - of which there is ONE in the entire city and it is a 40 minute drive (at minimum, with good traffic) away. PLEASE SWITCH BACK TO CANADA POST - not ONE of your customers who have responded to these posts (and the multiple other posts in the forum of the same anti-Fedex topic) is happy about Sephora making this switch. PLEASE listen to your long-term customers. Canada Post boxes are found in most apartment buildings and postal carriers have access keys that allow them to leave the packages in secure mailboxes inside the building if people aren't home (not just leaving the package unsecured and outside their doors!). Makeup is expensive and valuable - I do not want a clearly marked Sephora box left at my door (on the off chance that they actually manage to deliver it inside my building) for anyone to potentially steal. Please switch back to Canada Post - this was a terrible decision.

I live in BC and noticed my order shipped Fedex I avoid Fedex as I have learned in the past they only make one delivery attempt and then you have to go downtown to pick up your parcel. I have a Canada Post parcel box in my building wich means I always get my packages delivered for Fedex I have to be home to receive it. Please switch back to Canada Post asap. You might be getting a deal on delivery but you are def going to lose business due to shipper change.

Yah not happy with fed ex. Honestly there service is horrible. My full and complete address is correct and they say they "tried" to deliver but no answer. nope! They didn't even try and buzz me. I doubt I will order from Sephora anymore because of this inconvenience.. Sorry Sephora.

Re: Canada shipping via FedEx

I am also very disappointed, and might have to stop ordering from Sephora, as it is impossible to get my package from Fedex if I am away from home (as opposed to CanadaPost, who simply leaves a notice to pick the package at a post office nearby.)

not when you live in a condo

not when you live in a condo

RE: Re: Canada shipping via FedEx

I am confused, doesnt fedex just leave the package at the door? @ncp2000

Re: RE: Re: Canada shipping via FedEx

I don’t want the package to be left at the door (I live in an apartment in a city). Picking a package at the post office at the Shoppers right by my place, is more convenient than having to go to the FedEx depot.

Re: RE: Re: Canada shipping via FedEx

Yes,

I am in the same situation. Canada Post left it in the parcel box or at the Post office 5 mins from my house. If I am not home for Fed ex I have to drive 2 hours to their terminal at the Airport.
