Started off the week with all of my nails being one shade - Chanel 131 Cavalier Seul, a slightly muted, sage green creme, that was part of Chanel's 2023 summer collection. My ring fingernail ended up snagging on my sweater unexpectedly and then tearing, mid-week, followed by my middle fingernail splitting/breaking the next day 😑  I had planned on filing both nails and repainting them with the Chanel, but my eye caught sight of the Cameo Colours Lacquers Feed Me!, a green and silver base filled with metallic and shimmery flakies of various sizes and shades. TheCameo Colours nail polish was part of a Polish Pick Up offering in September 2020.  @caitbird, thank you for the reminder to post this nail set. 

Top and base coat were Deborah Lippmann Hard Rock - Nail Strengthening Top and Base Coat.

Awwww, thank you @ather! The sage green is really pretty; I'm glad I decided to get it when I did; I hemmed and hawwed over it for a bit.

I've been trying to be good about keeping my nails on the longer side. So far, even when they are short, they're on the longer-side of short (all have a noticeable free edge) if that makes sense. That makes me happy. 😊

Awww, thank you @ather! I've been wanting to do more French tip style mani's and for me, having a longer free edge comes in handy when I try to free style the tips; it actually even comes in handy when I use nail tape for the  tips. This is reminding me that I should apply some cuticle oil so off I go!

@itsfi  beautiful mani! I love both of those green polishes - the Chanel especially, it's just the perfect shade of sage green. Sorry about your nails breaking - that's always frustrating (I can definitely relate).

Thank you @caitbird. Chanel reformulated their nail lacquers and when they did (and in a few collections that followed), they introduced some new shades that were really hard to resist ... and clearly, I did not resist (or did a very poor job at it 😂) when this green came out. I don't have many green polishes in my nail collection but this is definitely one of my favorites. 

Ohhhh, the nail breakage. I know that you commiserate and I am thankful for you and others for understanding. I don't know about you, but my nail breakage seems to follow a pattern, or at least when it starts happening - it's typically either the middle or ring fingernail. Most of the time, whichever fingernail is first to go down, it does so on my left hand and then my right hand follows suit (with the corresponding fingernail). Then, it's usually the other of the middle and ring fingernail. Left hand and more times than not, same with the right. Then, it gets mixed around, between the thumb going down next or the pinky. My index finger nail is usually last and that's typically my longest nail ... but now that I'm thinking about it, it may only be the longest because all the others have broken off by that point. 🤔 😂🤣😂🤣  My nails are creatures of habit when it comes to their breakage. Ha!

@itsfi  I haven't really payed attention enough to know whether my nails follow a pattern when they break. This most recent time, it was both of my middle finger nails that broke in quick succession (like, the same day). Not sure if that is indicative of a pattern though.

I've found some beautiful shades through Polish Pickup over the years - always something unique waiting to be discovered. 😁 Chanel came out with some great new shades when they launched their reformulated polish and with their different seasonal collections immediately following that.
