I've been sporting these for almost a week. Getting into the Halloween season with some googly nails. I did a similar mani last year and decided to do them again this year. 

I'm going through my black and white creme polishes; the plan is to whittle them down to a small handful. Here, we have SEPHORA COLLECTION Color Hit Mini Nail Polish L76 Black Lace and NAILS INC. 73% Plant Power Nail Polish Free Time is Me Time.

Awww, thank you @Saradestin! Dooo it! It’s such a fun mani! 

I love it too because you don’t have to have a dotting tool to do it - large dots can be done like you have in the past with the end of a pen and the smaller dots can be done with a smaller pen or the end of a paperclip.

@Kim888, thank you! I like that these are something that can be done fairly quickly and don’t involve too much thinking. They’re a default for me for nail art during Halloween.

@itsfi  These are adorable! I was going to ask if you've ever made the eyes glow in the dark, but I saw your answer further down. 🙂 Sorry it didn't work out the way you wanted last year. I'm sure you'll succeed next time—and if not, hey, the time after that!

Hahaha! Yes! Glow in the dark googly eyes need to happen, either by me or someone else here @WinglessOne! This year or the next… or the next … or  😂 I’ve seen a few tutorials for it on YT and on blogs; may have to go over those again and just test out all my glow in the dark polishes.

Awww, thank you @missjeanie! That’s so kind of you to say. I like that these give me some confidence with doing nail art this time of the year, and that there are many variations to be had.

Still on my list to try, though I’m not sure I’ll get to it this year, is to try these googly eyes with one nail (or possibly multiple nails) with neon polish for the eyes and/or glow in the dark polish for the eyes. I tried the latter last year but it didn’t work out. 😔 

Here’s what last year’s googly eyes looked like: 

Eye designs were different and I had no one nail with the shades flipped. If you end up giving it a try, would love to see them. 👀

@itsfi I really like how they turned out for you!  I'm a fan of black polish so I feel like this may be an option if I snag some time this week!

@missjeanie, if you’re a fan of black polish, something like this could be great for you. You could also do the eyes on a different day that you apply the black polish, if that works better for you time-wise. I found that the longest part of the process was waiting for the black polish to dry and that depended on the particular brand.

@itsfi I'm actually quite into gel polishes of late so dry time isn't so bad. But I like the idea of doing it in stages.... more approachable to figuring out timing.  I mostly take forever getting my dominant hand done.

I hear ya about the dominant hand @missjeanie! I always have to take that into consideration when I’m thinking about nail art. It can’t be too complicated in general and it has to be something that I can do on at least one nail on my dominant hand. Ha! If it can past muster there, chances are it has a decent shot of coming out how I wanted it to on my non-dominant hand.
