YAY for new nails! Hot pink is an awesome way to kick off the (hopeful) return of brighter days and warmer weather!

I don't really consider myself a "seasonal" person for the most part...I'll save my dustier or more muted fall-ish type stuff for fall, but other than that, I'm all about brights and summer stuff year 'round 😎

It's here folks, the end of the polishes I've neglected for entirely too long! Of course while playing catch up, the newest stuff was aging too, so it's not really over 😂 But, unless I've overlooked a polish here or there (which is entirely possible), everything I've got left to use at least once is from around Black Friday or newer! 

Right hand: red yellow green...traffic lights, I guess?🚦😋

Zoya Logan

Deep green with gold shimmer, this would be an excellent holiday shade. Super duper easy two coater with a wide brush.

Enchanted Polish Sunshine and Rainbows

Yellow holo, and quite possibly the easiest yellow I've ever used...I guess the holo overrides the typical fussiness of yellow? Easy two coater. The rainbow itself isn't very bright, it seems muted, maybe pastel, but I can see where it would be quite easily, as in I can see the lines where the color changes...the colors just don't show well against the yellow background or something. Not sure that makes sense (even to me, and I know what I'm trying to say lol).

Revlon Get Lucky

Warm red, just a hint of orange in it. Easy two coater, though it's more of a crelly than a full cream, and I've still got a bit of visible nail line. No streaks at all though, and the formula reminds me a lot of Ciate Snatch, one of my favorite reds ❣️

Left hand: this started off as another version of red, yellow, (bluish) green, and morphed into a rainbow 🌈

China Glaze Yule Jewels

An orange-leaning red filled with lighter and brighter shimmer (pink and/or gold maybe?), and I'm pretty smitten with it. This one was a touch sheer, so I did three coats for full opacity, but they were easy peasy.

Pacifica Buena Fortuna

Gold shimmer that works well on its own (3 coats on middle) or as a topper (1 coat on index and ring). I see a greenish tilt every now and again, and a darker bronze likes to hide around the edges. 

Enchanted Polish Galactic

Green-leaning teal base loaded with blue and gold holo glitter. Super easy two coater, and the gold topper really punched up the green, leaving me with an unexpected rainbow.

@RGbrown, unexpected rainbows are marvelous - in the sky and on your nails. Love the rainbow 🌈 you created. That Pacifica topper jazzed up that orange red and the sunlight really picked up on the shimmer -  beautiful! 😍

I was surprised by how much I liked the Pacifica shade considering how I generally dislike gold. I won't reach for it often, but I'm glad to have it, it seems like a good shade to have on hand, unique to my collection. 💛

I wanted to give ombré nails another try, this time with a glitter polish and I wanted to use some of the Black Dahlia Lacquer polishes I received in this year's lucky box. The hard part there was trying to decide which color family to work with, and ultimately went with a few colors from the group of blue polishes. 

Base color:  Orly Breathable Morning Mantra - pastel blue creme, 2 coats

Ombre layers: all 3 blues used were "Mystery" colors

Tools and steps: Tried to capture and show what the steps looked like in the spoiler.

Lessons learned with this ombre mani - (1) be extra generous with the liquid latex - apply it all around the nail bed, including at the top - apply multiple layers. Applying it liberally will help with the removal; (2) it's easier to do an ombre mani with creme polishes; and (3) the top coat really does bring the look all together. 💅

@itsfi Love it! Thank you for the step by step instructions! I really like the blues together. I checked out BDL's website and the mystery boxes were sold out unfortunately. I ended up picking out the 3 pack on Etsy like @RGbrown mentioned. These polishes look devine!
