How do I contour my face to look more masculine?

I have a kind of feminine/round face and I'm not extremely sure of how to contour it to make it a bit more masculine. Any tips?

Hard to answer that question exactly unless we take a look at what highlighting/contouring is and what’s defined as masculine/feminine. Contouring/highlighting is using lights/darks tocreate/deemphasize/enhance shape. Generally speaking, feminine is softer & rounder and masculine is more angular and square. So essentially you’re wanting to create a more angular and chiseled look... while still blending out the edges. I don’t know of any videos but a good photo reference would be in the book The Art Of Male Makeup. I’ve found some photos from the book on google and you can look at where the artist contoured some of the men’s faces. As a note tho, everyone’s face shape is different and thus contour placement is gonna be different for everybody especially when you go down to the details. But at the very least you will get a sense of where to start. Good luck.

I would contour your jawline for sure. Maybe work your way up to temples and nose. Eventually cheekbones if you’re feeling adventurous. I would look at Wayne Goss’s YouTube channel. He’s never done me wrong.
