Beauty products for men?

My boyfriend tends to have dry hair, lips and he has combination skin a bit more ruffer.
Please send me some recommendations!!! I’d love to get him his own beauty and self care:))) #skincare #men #mensadvice

Re: Beauty products for men?

Hey @Talexx! I would suggest starting with one or two things at a time and adding one or two once in a while so he doesn't get overwhelmed. I started with a simple routine myself, but when my eczema found its way to my face, I went dove right into the deep end of skincare because I kept trying to claw my own skin off from the irritation.

For roughness, it could be that he needs to exfoliate. I like First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads with Glycolic + Lactic Acids – Exfoliating Pads with AHA but they're a bit on the pricey side and would be a waste if he doesn't stick to the routine. You could look at SEPHORA COLLECTION Glow Peel Pads 60 Pads as a cheaper alternative. Exfoliating will also help him get a smoother shave if he does shave often.

My usual cleanser is The INKEY List Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser 5 oz/ 150 mL but SEPHORA COLLECTION Clean Skin Gel Cleanser with Prebiotics 4.22 fl. oz. is also a good one to try.

For moisturizer, I really like #SEPHORA COLLECTION All Day Hyaluronic Acid Hydrator Moisturizer 1.69 oz/ 50 mL or SEPHORA COLLECTION Nourishing Moisturizer for Skin Barrier 1.69 oz / 50 ml.

I also enjoy SEPHORA COLLECTION Lip Balm & Scrub. The coconut lip balm is not tinted and really moisturizing.

You might also find some success if you bring and let him take charge of choosing his own products. Give him a few categories like finding a cleanser, moisturizer, and lip-balm the first time you go, let him try the different products in store, and let him pick what he likes best. You can try to point him towards these recommendations if he looks lost or overwhelmed (which I was the first time I walked into a Sephora). If he takes ownership of the routine by choosing his own products, he might be more likely to stick to it. Another tip help the routine stick is to find the time to do your skincare routines together. He might feel silly doing it on his own, but if he does it with you, that might help him ease into it. After a while of doing it together, you can just check up on him once in a while and ask how his routine is coming along. Good luck!
