What is your every-day minimalist makeup routine?

hey everyone, tell me about your every day routine, what you put on, how long it takes, and the tones you like. For me, every morning I put on sunblock and on the occasional day, moisturizer. I then apply a bit of blush on my cheeks and nose, with some lip liner towards the inside rim of my lips for the subtle ombre look and some gloss on top. i usually put on some mascara(dunno brand) and some lip gloss from a few different brands.

Might be late to the game but I almost always start with MILK primer, then use a Wander Beauty conceal/illuminate duo to cover any blemishes Then I’ll fluff my brows with anastasia dip brow gel, and put on a quick coat of Benefits Roller Lash mascara I top off with some glossier cloud paint, or whatever blush I have on hand and that’s about as much as I ever have time for before rushing out the door

I'm not a morning person, so my five minute work day routine is tinted moisturizer, mascara, brow gel, highlighter, blush, lipstick.

My minimalist makeup routine takes about ten minutes and basically protects and clears my skin up and accentuates my eyes.

I usually just focus on my eyes but if I don’t do anything natural I’ll go crazy with color. Lately I’ve been doing just a little bit of concealer on my lid with a soft, natural Smokey eye and if I’ve washed my face and it’s bright and clean I’ll use just a little bit of blush and gloss.

if I have a dark lip, I'll balance the look with a drugstore mascara on my eyes 🙂

I use a brow pomade and brow gel. Then a primer ( No poreblem primer, becca matifying primer, maybelline green primer) ( I sometimes mix them) then I bake (My skin is oily). Then for my eyes I either do eyeliner or mascara. I don't wear any lip products except for lip balm (I bit my lips so the color disappears quickly).

If I am late I do a 5 minute routine which is brows, and powder ( I just bake without anything under it).

If I have extra time I add highlight to my inner corner and brown eyeshadow on my eye. 

I used to add concealer but I had the wrong shades (to dark or to light for my under-eye)##########

My work/travel kit contains tested, tried and true products that I've used for years and know will work right every time.  Everything in here is a repurchase (except the eyeshadow and blush...they last forever!)  The whole routine takes about 30 min....can't seem to whittle it down any further!  😄  I noticed when I'm doing a full face just for fun, like on a weekend or something, it can take over an hour though. 🙂

@toxicdiamonds My go to work makeup routine takes 20 minutes. I use foundation, concealer, face powder, bronzer, contour, blush, neutral eyeshadow, lipgloss, eyebrows and highlight.  Weekends are makeup free.

I have a few different versions of “minimal,” which probably defeats the purpose 😄 If I'm just running errands, sometimes I won't even bother doing this much; it's just a lip balm and concealer. And of course this doesn't include skincare, which is the bulk of my morning routine: cleanser, rosacea serum, Vitamin C serum, moisturizer with sunscreen, occasional undereye cream. 

The "minimal but in public:" tinted brow gel, undereye concealer, curled lashes, mascara, lip balm.

The "minimal but rosacea-correcting" look: swap in a lipstick and redness treatment.

The "minimal but work-appropriate": add in a single shadow, liner, and a light-coverage powder foundation.

@tastelikewater  😄 this is me as well. Some days it's just lipbalm so that really actually absolutely no make-up day then have a version for work (every day) and the other one for special.

I do my brows with the Anastasia Dipbrow pomade, Too Faced Sculpting concealer as my under eyes are quite dark, and some tinted lip balm.

I do a full skin care routine and then just use powder foundation and maybe concealer if there is time. Blush, and always a highlight. Brows, mascara and lip gloss. I love the natural look, but it still takes me 30 mins LOL.

Agree! That natural, no makeup look takes a good half hour and lots of products to achieve. To make my skin look nice, I like applying a sheet mask for a more effortless glow. <333

Fun question @toxicdiamonds! 🙂 My everyday minimalist makeup has been sunblock, GIORGIO ARMANI BEAUTY - Power Fabric Concealer and innisfree My Lip Balm Wild Hibiscus .  On those days when I need a little more coverage, I'll also use MAKE UP FOR EVER - Matte Velvet Skin Blurring Powder Foundation, but otherwise it's just the concealer and balm.

@itsfi  I recently picked up the Power Fabric Concealer and I am LOVING it. The color match is perfect and it's so smooth and flawless but not heavy, totally invisible on my skin. Lasts almost all day (my day is 12+ hrs) and has usurped both Nars concealers (radiant creamy and soft matte). I was only 50/50 on the Power Fabric foundation, but the concealer... (chef's kiss!) perfection.

@MissPuff, you have described the GA concealer perfectly!! 🥰 YES!!! to everything you said. NARS Radiant concealer has been my go to concealer for years...until I picked up this Armani concealer. 😍 My preference is the LSF over the Power Fabric Foundation so I didn’t know if I’d like this concealer and I put off picking it up for a bit. When I finally got around to trying it, all I could think of was “you’ve been missing out this whole time!!!” 😂 It really, truly is, as you said, perfection!  ❤️❤️❤️

Typically I'll just wear Tarte Shape Tape (foundation and concealer) along with Too Faced Better Than Sex Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara Black  and a Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in the colour "Kisses." If Kisses is too dark sometimes I'll pat it a bit with tissue to make the colour softer and more natural-looking.
