Happy Monday BIC! As the holidays are here and so many special events are approaching, it is the perfect time to treat ourselves, go all out, and get our glam on!
This year our teamโs holiday party was the perfect excuse to get a makeover! I had never signed up for a makeover service at Sephora before, so I was very excited to see what the fuss was all about. I tried the Sephora Premium Full-Face Makeover and letโs just say Iโve found a new excuse to go to Sephora even more than I do already.
My first question, of course, was โhow is the Premium Makeover different from the regular Full-face Makeover?โ Well, the regular Full-Face Makeover is a quicker full-face look that flatters your features and it is complimentary with a $50 dollar purchase in-store on the same day of service. The Premium Makeover however, is a $120 service done exclusively by Beauty Advisors that are certified cosmetologists and/or estheticians. This Premium service is also 90 minutes long, which is thirty minutes longer than the Full-Face Makeover. However, keep in mind that pricing and licensing requirements can differ by state and even by store. To see the service and price offerings, search by store on Sephora.com. Also, there are instances where Sephora US and Sephora Canada do not offer the same products or services. As of now, Sephora Canada does not offer paid services in stores, but you can visit www.sephora.ca/happening to get all information regarding the services Sephora Canada provides and the minimum purchase required for each.
My consultation with my awesome Beauty Advisor, Natalie, took about 30 minutes. I had a lot of questions since I always get nervous when others do my makeup. I really needed time to explain exactly what I wanted: full-coverage face for my oily skin, a natural finish, a warm, smokey eye, cool-toned sparkles, smoked out cat-eyes, and - last but not least - a bold lip to match my red blazer. Luckily Natalie was able to understand my complicated description and work her magic!
Needless to say, I truly loved the work my Beauty Advisor did, and you can see her beautiful work in the before and after pictures below.
All makeover services include a consultation with a Beauty Advisor and then full-face application, from your skincare to setting your finished look. I highly recommend this premium service to anyone who needs extra one-on-one time with a Beauty Advisor, needs their makeup done for a photo shoot, or wants their makeup to look excellent for special events like weddings, Halloween looks, or special holiday parties (like me!).
