@Mochapj I'm dying to get that Sweets one. I like the Moonchild but I fear I won't get any use out of it unless it's as an eyeshadow.

I've been all over the internet looking at swatches and looks that makeup artists have done using Moonchild, and it is gorgeous!  They definitely can be used as eyeshadows.  One look was to use the blue as a highlight extending from the outer corner of an eye to slightly past the eyebrow.  Stunning.

As a PSA, I thought I'd note for Canadians that want these, you're better off finding a US friend and shipping to them.

ABH charges $18US to ship it, and I got dinged $24CAD by customs

OMG I am sorry you got hit with that much duties 😞  They used to ship USPS and put 1$ on the form... FedEx right?  They told me they used them now... and well I just can't stand them anymore... not with the **bleep** they've pulled. My awesomest friend @pixiedust2 got it for me 🙂

They shipped it via UPS actually, which is why I was surprised by the duties.  I wonder if they changed it because of the CP strike, or what...

Oh really? I for sure thought it would be FedEx. I think they told me both but yeah I was sure it be FedEx and too scared to take a chance.  You usually don't get duties with UPS?  I'm guessing they changed it because the site now says shipping worldwide. I don't think it used to say that... I dunno?  Do a lot of US companies know about the strike? I know RdF know because I got an email... except for that, I didn't think so.

Kinda glad they have that 30 day thing going on but wish they could just resolve it so things can go back to normal.

Not sure if any Lisa Eldridge lipstick fans but here are some new swatches from pink collection plus the Velvet Jazz which is personally my favorite! They all feel great , very smooth and packaging is heavy ish not too and with that satisfying magnetic click! 

Love of my Life is smooth semi sheer and Skyscraper Rose is soft saturated matte but more like an intense Mac powder kiss with much better pigment melting into lip not into lines. Very pretty. Velvet Jazz is amazing- good pigment, smooth and lasting. Tried to capture texture of it. My only thought is the smell is a bit odd at first. That kind of plastic new doll a bit faintly tho it goes away :). 

My lip pics not great so didn’t post! Lol.

@Sunnysmom thanks for the swatches!  I passed on Love of My Life and have some regrets but both both of the mattes are headed my way!  I want to grab some *cough all cough* of the Velvets when they come back.  She said in a few weeks!! 🤞🏼

Oh I’m excited for u @michelleshops and to see your mattes! I think Love of My Life is very pretty but maybe not a “must” in my book unless u r a collector of all things pink. ( as I may or may not be with reds 😳) Other dupes for it I feel. The reds however are another matter I think! Can’t wait either. Def want 2! 😘

@Sunnysmom  Thanks for the swatches! I KEEP MISSING THESE! I didn't feel so bad about missing the first release of the velvets since there were like, 10 released?! Just so few! But I totally blanked on this release 😞 How does the formula for Skyscraper Rose compare to the Velvet Ribbons?

Oh man I’m sorry @MissPuff I felt that way with first one for sure. So maddening. Yes like 10 I swear and I was so determined too!! Lol. I will let u know on next one if you aren’t already signed up! 🙂 Let me compare the 2 in a few minutes and I’ll get right back to you       ok? Off hand I think the red velvet formula is much more saturated and dense and pigmented and Skyscraper Rose is much softer and lighter. It really reminds me of an intense Mac Powder Kiss but with much more pigment while still melting into the lip vs on it. Does not exaggerate lip lines at all. Either one. I’ll be back! ☺️
