We had a fabulous collection thread on the old BT that didn't seem to migrate over to BIC and since I love looking at collections, I thought I'd start a new thread.

This is a space to share your beauty collections - makeup, lipstick, nail polish, perfume, whatever you've got!

I'll start off with a few of my collections.💗

Thanks, its so much cheaper to buy the MAC refill eyeshadows compared to individually packaged, it makes sense. The blushes are all SSUPPPPPERRRR old, so I depotted them - (which is why some have a hole in the middle!)

Inspired to pull my Kilian together, in honor of Sephora starting to carry it. I feel like I have more of the sampler set/minis somewhere but not sure where they are! And a million samples around (not pictured).

Gorgeous Kilian collection, @sister13!  I hadn't heard of them until the recent Sephora launch.  I love the packaging.  I'm sure they smell lovely!

In mulling over this past year, and looking forward to slowing down the gimme gimme gimme that signified 2017 for me, I thought it would be fun to share the evolution of my collection. I found a couple of old pics on my phone...I think I was thinking about posting my "vanity" at some point but never actually did, so I have a couple of illustrations of how my collection really exploded this year. It's a bit mind boggling, really.

Pre-fall 2016. My entire makeup stash fit in this one tub. It was mostly Almay, a few eyeshadows, a foundation, some loose powder, a couple of eyeliners and some Clinique gwp stuff, mostly mini palettes and lippies. Couple of mascaras, a couple of brushes...nothing fancy and not much of it. And...most of it was 12+ years old. Oh dear.

March 2017. The obsession for lipsticks and palettes is becoming obvious.

Oct 2017. I am almost completely out of counter space; this is the before pic before I put in my new "shelves"

Oct 2017, after shelves are added. (Really just shoe racks lol)

And how it all looks today! I'm actually starting to worry that the top shelf may be too heavy, so I may have to come up with another shelving idea or else completely rearrange everything, but I love love love how it has worked out!

I like that you used a shoe rack as your makeup organizer!  Good idea!💡why didn’t I think of that before🤦‍♀️

Anyway, I love your red dresser! So pretty😍

it’s so cool that you have a locker type of thing right next to your vanity and what’s even cooler is that you have a super Mario train case on top of it!(where’d you get that??)

Thanks so much! The bronze cabinet came from my dad's store before he sold it and retired last year; it's an old (probably 50's or 60's) metal pantry that was in the break room. I pilfered it as we were cleaning the building out; I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it at the time, but as beauty stuff became a thing for me, it became the perfect thing to hold some of my now massive collection lol. It holds masks and haircare, and some extra storage bins.

The train case is a one of a kind item, created by my sisters for me for Christmas after I showed them the Shu x Mario collection and jokingly said I wanted their $475 case 😄

Seeing the progression all in one place has definitely been eye opening for me. I think I've finally realized what "enough" is. I do still have a few small things I'd like to add, but all in all, I think I'm set for a good long while now!

(Side note though...enough only seems to apply to makeup. ILNP sent me a coupon yesterday and I placed an order without blinking an eye. Oops 😂 )
