❤️  Ahhhh, the throw from the Nest Coconut & Palm Candle makes my house smell like I'm on a tropical island - not a bad thing.

👍  Voluspa Kalahari Watermelon Candle would probably have received a higher mark if I hadn't burned it at the same time as the Glow Recipe watermelon candle/

😘  Glow Recipe knows how to do watermelon scented products and this Glow Recipe x mala  Watermelon Dew Candle is no exception - I wish I had picked up more of these!

👍  The Voluspa White Cypress Candle has that lovely crisp, winter wonderland scent. Christmas in June. Ahhhh. Very nice.

👍  R+Co BLEU Hypersonic Heat Styling Mist does a nice job of protecting my hair from heat damage from curling my hair on a regular basis. It doesn't necessarily stand out above other thermal heat protectants. I received this as a gwp and have a few more bottles to use up, which I will happily do.

👍  Sephora Collection Eyeliner is a nice one, not my favorite, but performs pretty well.

👍  Oribe Signature Shampoo is good, not great. It does lightly hydrate my hair but I feel like there are other shampoos, including others from Oribe, that do a better job. That said, I wouldn't mind using this one if I had another one (whichI do) but it's not my first choice for an Oribe shampoo.

👍  Sourse Dream Chocolates are nice. I've had mixed results - some nights, it definitely helps me to unwind and fall asleep more easily, but not consistently. To be fair, this is my first bag so it's still early in the testing phase, but so far, it's performed fairly well. 

🫤 Love Shack Fancy Forever In Love is a pretty scent but it's not one that stands out to me as one I have to have in my collection.

👍  Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops Serum give a lovely, dewy glow while also lightly hydrating the skin.

👍  54 Thrones Body Butter does a nice job of moisturizing dry / very dry skin. It's on the thicker side so it can take a little work to get it fully absorb but worked wonders through the cooler seasons and the spring.

🫤  Ilia lip mask was fine; a little hard to soften it up but when I did, it performed nicely. There's just a lot of other lip masks out there that are easier to use and perform just as well for me, if not better.

🙊  I imagine the notes in the Sunday Riley Come Upstairs Candle will be appealing to some but it was not to my nose. I ended up having burn it alongside other candles to diffuse the scent in order to use it up. 

🙊  The cream-to-watery-gel consistency of the Peter Thomas Roth SPF is fabulous and it applies beautifully on the skin. Sadly, there's something in the product that irritates my eyes - stings, burns and makes my vision blurry. I used it as an SPF for my arms.

😘  One of those scents that helped to offset the Sunday Riley candle was the Forvr Mood Cookie Coma - oh my goodness, this candle smells delicious, like cookies baking in the oven. so good! I don't remember buying this but you better believe I'm keeping my eye on when it comes back in stock! 

👍  I really enjoy using the OleHenriksen Banana Bright Primer - it's lightly moisturizing and brightening. That said, I find that the sunscreen from the same collection does just as good a job as a primer as this one, and it has the added benefit of being a SPF and having a creamier consistency which my usual dry / very dry or normal-to-dry / combo skin prefers.

❤️  Oribe Signature Conditioner does a good job of detangling and making my hair feel soft, smooth and hydrated.

🫤 Soft Services Speed Soak Skkin Rehydrating Gel isn't bad; it does hydrate my skin but it leaves a slightly tacky to the touch feel that I didn't care for.

👍  Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil is a nice hydrating and brightening face oil that works well under my daytime moisturizer.

🐐  I've lost count of how many bottles of the Bioderma Sensibiio H2O Micellar Water I've gone through, but it's been a lot over the last couple of decades. It came in particularly handy in June when I was dealing with a severely compromised skin barrier.

😘  up&up Premium Cotton Ovals are great for covering a lot of surface area - I like to use these when applying an AHA/BHA toner to the body.

😘  haruharu wonder Black Rice Moisture Deep Cleansing Oil Unscented is a beautiful oil-based first cleanser, gently removing sunblock and makeup, even waterproof eye makeup without causing blurriness or leaving any residue or film behind. If I didn't have a plethora of first cleansers to work my way through, I'd have repurchased another bottle.

😘  The blend of lavender and peppermint in the Rare Beauty Aromatherapy Pen hits just the right notes to create a calm and uplifting feel when breathed in.

👍  Live Tinted Hueguard 3-in-1 Mineral Sunscreen is a great sunscreen-and-primer in one, not moisturizing enough on its own for those with dry or very dry skin except perhaps in the warmest part of the summer. I like it but prefer the OleHenriksen Banana Bright Mineral Sunscreen. The Live Tinted is a thinner, non-orange-creamsicle-scented version of the OH.

👍  The natural honey scent really comes through in the Bridge Nine Candle Co. Wild Honey Candle.

🐐  Yep, that's another bottle of the Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water - the first one was 1/2 full at the start of June and I found a bottle (with 1/4 left) when I was empting a piece of luggage. Both used up and onto the next bottle, a brand new one. 

😘  Bio-Oil Skincare Oil is just one of those no muss, no fuss products that do their job and do it well. Very well. It absorbs quickly, easily and smoothly, hydrating and moisturizing skin instantaneously. 

👍  Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa '62 Eau de Parfum is a great scent, reminiscent of a tropical vacation. 

🐐  Shiseido Facial Cottons are the softest cottons on the market. Love these.

👍  The taste of most green superfood powders are not always the greatest  - they're either too sweet or they taste like what I think cardboard might taste like. I was pleasantly surprised neither was the cae with the Sunwink Detox Greens Superfood Powder Blend. I'll finish up the other powders I have, but this will likely be repurchased. 

❤️  Ceremonia Guava Spray Rescue is a great detangler and thermal protectant; it has that wonderful Ceremonia guava scent too. I have another bottle from Sephoria so no need to repurchase just yet. 

👍  innisfree Intensive Hydrating Serum with Green Tea Seed is a nice one in the warmer months for adding a layer of hydration before moisturizer.

😘  Drunk Elephant Marula Oil is a oft reached for oil when my skin is super dry and dehydrated. It's a dry oil that absorbs quickly and easily, leaving skin better moisturized than before.

👍  The extra large under eye hydrogel of the Superegg Calm Movements Eye & Cheek Mask is great to use after a day in the sun.

😘  Anua Heartleaf Cream Mask Night Solution is a dry skin gal's dream mask - more details on the June 2024 Masks

😘  Love how the Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Oil softens, smooths and moisturizes my strands without leaving it heavy or greasy. I have a couple more hair oils to work through but I can see myself repurchasing a full size at some point.

🐐  Laneige Radian-C Cream has been a well loved moisturized and repeated repurchase for over 3-1/2 years. I like how it softens, brightens and moisturizes my skin.

👍  Sunday Riley C.E.O. Afterglow is a great moisturizer; it would get a higher rating if I didn't love the Laneige so much.

🐐  Sephora Collection Caffeine Eye Masks (discontinued) are fantastic for brightening and lightly hydrating the undereye area. Bummed to see these discontinued but I have plenty to tie me over until I can find a good substitute, or maybe until they bring it back? 🤞

🙊  Sephora Collection Lip Mask doesn't irritate my lips which is good but it also doesn't do anything standout.

The Peace Out Acne Dots 🐐 have been and will continue to be repurchased until I no longer break out. If only that seemed like a possibility. 😂 More detailed thoughts on the Foil Challenge Thread

@mishanyc, thank you! There are those moments where things get finished up all around the same time - that was last month for me. Feels good to go through products, and to have many that are repurchases / staples. The emoji's are fun; hoping one day I'll have fewer and fewer items that rate "meh"/okay and below. 🤞

The Glow Recipe candle was a special collab they did last year; hoping they bring it back this fall and make it permanent. 🤞 GR does know their watermelon scent! 🍉  This is the only candle I've seen from Sunday Riley but I'll keep an eye out for others - the scent itself wasn't one my nose liked but if they made another one and the notes piqued my interest, I could see myself picking it up. How's candle burning coming along for you? Finding any favorites or ones you would repurchase?

@itsfi  hmm, Glow Recipe does indeed know their watermelon scent - if they bring that candle back, I might have to try it! Candle burning is going pretty well so far; I have tried 4 so far (I think?) and would definitely repurchase 2 of them: DW Home Strawberry Basil, which I got at my local TJ Maxx (or HomeGoods?) and NEST New York Rose Noir & Oud Candle 2oz/57g . Unfortunately the Strawberry Basil is currently sold out online, and I don't know if it'll be restocked 😢 so I will try to make it last for a while, haha. The Rose Noir & Oud I am currently enjoying, and plan to order a larger size next time I order from Nest.

@caitbird, the blend of rose and smokiness in the Nest is a good one! 💕 Strawberry basil sounds like an amazing scent as well. I can definitely see how they’re favorites.

@Samtian, thank you. It ebbs and flows with my empties. I have a few things that are close to being used up but for the most part, July will be about getting into a good schedule with using newly opened product or products that are in various states of use that I need to be consistent with. Hoping to focus on pan it! items this and next month.

@itsfi June was a very productive month for empties! That must feel great! I had to look twice when I saw the second bottle of Bioderma Micellar water! You also went through lots of Oribe! I have quiet a few samples of the shampoo and conditioner to use up. I also need to try the Ceremonia still. 

P.S - I am so happy your plant is doing well 🪴

@Mellmars1185, thank you. Yes, lol about the Bioderma. I found open products in various stages of use when I was unpacking.

I had moved most of the partially used skincare and body care items to the bathroom and I have been working my way through them - had no idea I had 2 bottles of Bioderma open at the same time until o picked up the second one and I did a double take then as well - 😣 Usually I may have a full size and a travel mini size but not two full sizes, but they both came in handy. My skin has really liked how gentle but effective it is. I’m using it more in my routine even now that my skin barrier is on the mend. 

💯 with you on having a good amount of shampoo and conditioner to work through. Oribe and Kerastase are among my faves but I need to hold off on S&C purchases until I get through the ones that have been partially used - I have Ranavat, JVN, Virtue, K18, Shu Uemura, Oway, and Pureology that I’m rotating through. 😱 Yeah, writing that list is making me feel like I have to better manage my approach to rotating in shampoo and conditioner as in first come up with an approach 😂 to manage them.
