Beauty on a Budget!!!

Hey!! I'm kind of a rookie with the whole colour matching and I'm also a broke student on a budget. I recently had a Xmas present of a $100 gift card and had somebody help me figure with what works best for me and she picked out UD Naked Skin foundation in the shade .05 and it ran out so quickly! I really don't have the budget to be putting down $50 on a foundation that runs out that fast and also one that settles into creases even after baking. Although I love the finish, I was wondering if any one could help me find a dupe! I also don't know which foundations match perfectly to .05. Thanks so much!

Re: Beauty on a Budget!!!

i loved ud naked skin but it broke me out. Looking for dupes!!

RE: Beauty on a Budget!!!

@leahviolette Foundations can get very expensive. There are soooooo many amazing foundations at the drugstore that can give luxury brands a run for their money. Since it’s something you will go through so fast, why not find one there and use your gift card on something else like a great eyeshadow palette or even a moisturizer? Not telling you how to spend your money, just something I would do. Lol. Too Faced, ABH and Urban Decay have some realllllly great eyeshadows that the drugstore have yet to come close to! ❤️❤️❤️

Re: RE: Beauty on a Budget!!!

I agree some foundations just blow my mind at how expensive they are. I went to Shoppers and did a little research on some foundations and I found one I will hopefully like haha. It's so much nicer to see a foundation cost $15 instead of $50 lol. Thanks for your help and I will definitely use my card for something better haha💗

Re: Beauty on a Budget!!!

Hi! congrats on an awesome gift card!!!!

I really recommend the Anastasia BH foundations sticks. Hands down, the best colour matching. Also, you can get two for the same price as other foundations, and you can do a natural looking contour (one full face color, and a slightly darker color for contouring).

There are a few different ways you can apply:

  1. Use your fingers - with clean hands, wipe fingers on stick, let it sit to warm for a bout 30 seconds to a minute, then tap into your skin.
  2. With brushes: use a concealer brush for the lighter color to cover imperfections, and makes a great eye primer and under eye concealer (use fingers for that to lightly tap, and very delicately and lightly rub in)
    1. Use foundation brush, saturate till you get a decent amount on the brush and brush outward starting with t zone, then cheekbones and brush outward till you cover the face.
  3. apply directly onto your skin, then brush outward.

I really recommend having a good facial oil first, if you are on a budget, even tapping in a half a dime sized amount of olive oil is good for your skin (sounds crazy, but trust me, i have been doing this for years).

That should leave room on your card to explore other fun things, I lot Bite's multi sticks and lipsticks, omg amazing products. You can get the little trial dual sets for cheaper and they last forever.
