As a teen what do you recommend for makeup?

Hi!

So I am a starter for makeup (and as you can tell from the title also a teen) and being new to makeup can be confusing. So what are some basics that you might recommend. I'll provide detail about myself below to see what I  may be looking for and what there may be things to help me.

Skin type: Overall oily/ Combination(Dry on eyelids)

Skin Concerns: Dark Eye Circles, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin texture and tone, and dry skin between eyes

Overall, I am looking for a natural glam to help cover these things such as scaring, uneven skin tone, etc. But I would also enjoy receiving other suggestions to spice up my makeup later on one I am more experienced.

for a teen makeup routine I would start with a good moisturizer such as the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro™ Nourishing Whipped Refillable Moisturizer  

I would recommend a skin tint instead of foundation such as the rare beauty skin tint

For brows a clear brow gel like the benefit clear brow gel

for mascara the Too Faced Better Than Sex Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara Black  and the Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara Black

Hi @Fatiiiiii! Welcome to the club. There is A LOT of different products you can use to achieve the look you’re going for. Based on the details you’ve given and your goal of a natural glam look, I’d say try focusing on skincare first. Do you have a routine in place? A good base will go a long way to achieving that look you want. 

Considering your age, I presume you have a bit of a budget to work within too, whether your parents are lending you a hand or if it’s your own hard-earned money. Drugstore makeup has come a long way and many of us here have a few drugstore favourites. I love Maybelline’s products. They’re budget friendly but great quality. Or, if you can wait until next month, check out Sephora Collection during Sephora’s spring sale. Their products are also great in terms of quality and price and the sale helps even more!

So to answer your question, yes I do have a set skincare. I think im all set on that portion with cleanser, exfoliator, serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen, and finally having my skin clearing up 🙌🏼 . But I do have a question, so I notices you mention the spring sale which is why I wanted to ask when it may start and if there are certain products that are implied during this sale?

It seems like just about everything is part of the sale, so you can start putting a cart together now. And their products are actually really great.
