There's a post every other day about the best lip combo (keep them coming!) I've gotten to love lip contouring/ombre lips more than I thought I would, and I of course, need to justify a use for some of these lip liners/glosses/lipsticks etc...😶💄🤫

I also can't remember half of them, so if this a thread where I'm replying to myself 🤷🏽‍♀️, at least I'll have a list

Feel free to list your fave combos, also consider putting in your lip color (pink, brown, dual colored, rosy, etc) and aesthetic /style/look to help others lockdown their combos.

@itsfi I don't think I currently have any rom&nd products, but I've definitely tried one of their lip products before. I think it was a Juicy Lasting Tint. I'll probably try some more now that Ulta carries the brand. Hopefully they will start carrying more products than they currently offer.

Oh, does your Ulta have rom&nd in store @PrettyPaint? I know Nordstrom carries some of their products online - lip, cheek & mascara, none of the eyeshadows or brow products (yet). I'm pretty sure my first product of theirs was a lip tint, a more watery, sheer version - my first product of most Korean beauty brands has usually been a sheet mask or lip product. 🤣 The store in town only carried two shades of lip tints and 1 shade of their brow gel at the time, but that was a few years back. They've really gained in popularity; I wish that store was still around to be able to experience it. Let me know if you try other products from the brand.

@itsfi I haven't been to the nearest Ulta by me since Rom&Nd became available; however, if the app is accurate, it says it's not sold in my store. I'll definitely let you know if I try anything else. I was hoping to try an eyeshadow palette, but it seems like those aren't widely available.

The colorways of their eyeshadow palettes look lovely @PrettyPaint. The newer generation eyeshadows seem more pigmented than the ones that were around a decade ago, at least the ones I've swatched (which really hasn't been that many, as I think about it, lol).

Fingers vs brush diffusion! I want to get into this!

Hmmm @danielledanielle ... maybe I'm being too finicky and a little high maintenance about it, but

fingers for diffusing the line inward with color intended to fill, in part, all or a portion of the lip (and not just to soften the edges of the lip line). The warmth from my fingers helps to move the color more easily than a brush. I do, however, want to give those silicone lip smudgers (lol, I think they're actually called silicone lip brushes, but they don't look like a brush) a try. I've been meaning to but always forget to reach for mine when I'm actually applying my lip liner.

brush for diffusing the more flesh tone liner that outlines or just hovers around the outline of the Vermillion Border, to make it disappear into the skin. If I use my fingers, I'm less careful and I have on multiple occasions smudged the color lip liner. No bueno.

What say you? Do you prefer using fingers or brushes when it comes to diffusing color on your lips?

So last week I cut/cleaned edges with a brush and today and yesterday, I've used brushes. I have less errors, but it's a time sink (for me) versus applying with the bullet/application and fingers.

I also noticed my liner held better when I started with the colorfix and went over with a pencil liner and then pressed my lips together to blend.

I feel like for a whipped lip/mousse, finger blending is better, but for liquid mattes or liquid lipstick, brushes tame bleeding.

I hadn’t taken liquid lipsticks into consideration @danielledanielle and would agree a brush would work best with that formulation. Or, with liquid lipsticks, I sometimes put the product on the back of my hand and apply it & diffuse with my fingers; I rarely use the product to line because I know I’ll make a mess.

@itsfi I think I'm too impatient.

The only liquid lipsticks I'd go straight into were the Gxve ones and the Fenty stunnas. But, I feel like a brush with the Fenty one (and definitely Violette FR) would fix the bleeding I get. Also I used one of those finger puffs to really get at my lipline to set the edges today

Hey makeup lovers! I use a really good lip combo and I and super exited to share it with yall.  here is the products I use:
Sacheu Beauty Lip stain/liner
Ysl lip liner or MAC lip liner
Tower 28 lip gloss
laneige grape lip gloss

what I do is I use the peel of beauty lip liner, and put another lip liner over. Then I use the tower 28 lip gloss. Throughout the day, if I need a replacement, I use Laneige lip gloss (any shade but I tend to use grape.)

Sephora does not sell the sacheu beauty lip liner, and it is going viral but a very small company. I do wish Sephora carried Sacheu though!
