Keeping my liquid lipstick on the inner part of my lips?

Hi, everybody!

I am so in love with liquid lipstick. I've been wearing a lot of nude colors, but I found this gorgeous shade. It's called Urban Decay Vice in the color "Delusional." It's a cherry violet color with a little sparkle. GORGEOUS! ❤️

But I have this huge problem. The lipstick looks amazing when my mouth is closed, but when I open my mouth, you can see the pink line (natural color) of my inner lip. I try to blend the lipstick and pat it back there, but it always washes off. 😞 

I want to experiment using lipstick colors that aren't nude or natural, but I feel like I look silly. 😞 I just want to look beautiful.

Any tips? Please provide me with what products you use. I am in great appreciation. Thank you so much!

Ah, the dreaded butthole lips. 😞 Have you tried using a lip liner? That may help a little. Sadly, there's not much you can do because that part of your mouth is wet with salvia. It'll be hard to any keep product there. 

I hope you find a solution that works for you, though, @PinkProfessor90. 

ETA: I also want to add that this happens to everyone, so don't feel silly! 😉 That color looks beautiful on you, so definitely wear it. 🙂

You're the sweetest! Please do forgive me, I actually googled this picture to show the type of problem. But I swear, every time I try a bold color, this same thing happens! 😮 It looks like a cat's tushy. 😠 

I'm going to Sephora tomorrow, so perhaps I can try to check out some lipliners. They have some beautiful jelly ones. I think I can try those.

Oh, that's okay! I bet the color still looks beautiful on you, @PinkProfessor90. 🙂

It would definitely be a good idea to swatch some lip liners in-store. Also, UD Delusional looks like a complex color, so it would be wise to swatch it side by side with some lip liners. 

I'd recommend taking a look at the Urban Decay lip liners. They may have a shade that corresponds to that lip color (Hex or Venom might work). I've also heard good things about MUFE, Kat Von D, and Bite.

No problem, @PinkProfessor90! I also want to add that a Bite lip pencil (034 Plum Rose) is one of September's 100 point perks. If you have the points to spare, you could redeem it to test out the formula. Just a thought! 🙂

LOL! My thoughts exactly! The butt lip! I can definitely use a lipliner. I haven't tried that before. Which lipliners do you recommend? 😄
