Charlotte Tilbury fans REJOICE! Next week on June 27, Charlotte Tilbury will be launching eleven beautiful lipsticks in their newest collection, Hot Lips 2 (Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick 2 Glowing Jen). We all know the brand is amazing at crafting colors which wear beautifully and these lipsticks are no exception. This collection of eleven new shades showcases the formula we know and love, featuring orchid extract to soften and hydrate your lips, while lipstick tree extract (Bixa Orellana seed) protects from UV damage. Charlotte Tilbury’s iconic Matte Revolution lipsticks are creamy and hydrating; I love this comfortable formula, especially for bolder colors that look best on smooth lips. The popular satin K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula also helps moisturize while adding beautiful color and shine.
What really makes this launch special is the inspiration behind each shade. Charlotte has named each lipstick after one of her eleven muses who have each played a significant role in her life. How sweet is that?! I can only aspire to someday have a lipstick made in my honor…
Along with the eleven shades inspired by Charlotte’s muses, there are five new and unique packaging designs inspired by every aspect of her universe: Fashion, Rock n’ Roll, Hollywood, and Magic. The packaging is STUNNING and adorned with rose gold details; you’ll want to collect at least one of each design. Here is just a look this this beautiful collection.
As you can see above, these shades are beautiful and creamy. I was enamored by Viva La Vergara, a matte soft wine shade inspired by, you guessed it, the beautiful and talented Sofia Vergara. Glowing Jen, a nod to Jennifer Aniston, is a universally flattering satin rose shade. Our coworker Jasimine was immediately drawn to it, and she is rocking it below. Dancefloor Princess is a pinky nude color with a satin finish; this shade is as lovely as the muse who inspired it – Kylie Minogue. Enigmatic Edward is named after the stylish Edward Enninful. This clear lip balm hydrates with shea butter, aloe vera, and hyaluronic acid. This is great alone or as a base.
If you could create a lipstick inspired by one of your muses, who would it be and what would it look like?
I like Amal on you in this picture, @Ispend2much6!
@curlychiquita Thanks! It helps to hear others' opinion. My son told me that Jen looks like I didn't even put any lipstick on (he's my photographer,) so I guess that gives an idea of why Amal shows up more. He thought Amal was too much for me. My hair is too dark right now, so that might be one reason why all my makeup looks different. I accidentally bought a box of hair coloring that was about four shades darker than my regular one.
I have been eyeing these lipstick on CT site for many days. Now that these are coming to Sephora, I am excited to pick a few. @GeorginaBT Are the refills launching at Sephora as well?
I found a list of the lipstick shades and their cases, so I thought I'd share (because those cute cases are important!) From Elite Daily.
Top: Amazing Amal, Angel Alessandra, Carina's Star, Enigmatic Edward, Glowing Jen
Bottom: Viva La Vergara, In Love with Olivia, JK Magic, Dance Floor Princess, Red Hot Susan, Patsy Red
More swatches! I really like doing this because it gives me so much of a better idea of what looks good with my skin tone than looking in a mirror.

They look great on you, @Ispend2much6! Thanks for sharing.
@GeorginaBT Thank you and you're welcome. 🙂
They all look pretty on you, @Ispend2much6! Your modeling is very helpful. I really like Jen so far from your pictures - I think it will look good on most people.
@curlychiquita Thanks! With your coloring, from what I remember, I agree Jen would look good on you. And Vergara if you want a more intense look!
@Ispend2much6 how do you feel about Glowing Jen? It looks like a very pretty color, but I've seen others say that it's a pretty dupable color.
@niki172 I would say it's dupable. It's very similar on me to Burberry Kisses Sepia. At the Let's Talk About Charlotte Tilbury thread, Jen shows as a rosy mauve on @TraceyEB , more like the way it looks in the tube.
I just tried on Jen and Stoned Rose, and they are in the same color family, but Jen is slightly more pink and darker than Stoned Rose. It's still too orange for me to love it.
@Ispend2much6, I just read this after posting above about Jen. Good to know! I can't see the orange too much in the picture of Jen, but it sounds like I'd like Stoned Rose.
@curlychiquita I think you would like SR also. Lipsticks are either perfect for me or they turn gray, orange, or brown. It's so weird and it drives me crazy,.
@niki172 @Ispend2much6 My mind turns to Tom Ford Negligee or Chanel Antoinette (reddy brown) as dupes but really any rosy/reddy shade with a brown tone would be similar. I like CT's KISSING formula and bought Jen because the description said "if you like Stoned Rose," which I do, you'd like Glowing Jen. On my lips IRL, it looks more like a browny-pink than mauve and very much like the shade of the actual lipstick as you said @Ispend2much6 . Because CT lipstick shades don't look right on me, the depth and shade of this colour have me over the moon - it's the perfect lipstick for me.
@Ispend2much6 thanks for your input! That's what I wanted was a rosy mauve, but I thought it might turn on me also a bit and not look like what it looks like on @TraceyEB . IDK why her lippies turn on me so badly color wise :(.
@niki172 , I took this pic today in daylight to show that Glowing Jen leans brown, not mauve. Temptalia will have dupe options when reviewed.Glowing Jen
Beautiful @Ispend2much6. So question - do you think you like Vergara or Amal more? I'm trying to decide between the two.
@PrettyPaint That's a tough one. I couldn't decide either so I got both. 😉 On CT's site you can get a regular lipstick with a case and a refill of your choice for $56. That's saving a good bit of money from buying two if you don't mind having one case. I wonder if Sephora will have that option also? The HL2 page on Sephora isn't showing that option, and CT's site says it's an online exclusive.
Vergara is a wine with some brown in it, so if you do well with those colors, I'd go with that one. Amal is more cool-toned. And brighter, but not by much, which I like.
@Ispend2much6 Thanks so much! I’m also really curious as to whether Sephora will have the refills. Maybe I will be bad and just get the $56 deal - you’re right about it being a good savings.
@PrettyPaint You're welcome!
