Best lipstick shade for a brunette

I am not big on lipsticks, I prefer glossy lips but sometimes I want a bit of colour. I am not sure what shade to try and which brand. I get overwhelmed at the store and just end up not getting anything. I have never tried a stain either. 

Any suggestions??

@Paula80 maybe try one of the Mario sets MAKEUP BY MARIO Mini MoistureGlow™ On The Go Plumping Lip Serum Duo Bare Glow & Rose Glow or MAKEUP BY MARIO Mini MoistureGlow™ On The Go Plumping Lip Serum Duo Mauve Glow & Mocha Glow . They are glossy but have color to them. You could also try the Yves Saint Laurent Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick  , which are glossy but also have color. I like #13 the best.
