Help!

I’ve always been a fan of k-beauty and skincare, and have been wanting a skincare routine on the more affordable side. Any recommendations on good, affective k-beauty?

Re: Help!

recommend hopping on the social media bandwagon of beauty influencers (@_lilyis , @paulinejchoii , and @brutecho ion TikTok) - OliveYoung and YesStyle have great and super affordable options directly from Asian brands.

For skincare, recommend looking into Anua (toner pads are amazing), Dr. Althea (great 345 cream and gentle vitamin c serum), Ma:nyo (cleansing oil now at Ulta, similar to Anya, but I prefer the citrus orange smell over a strong floral smell), Skin 1004 (new hype around centella for redness, love the suncream).

Id recommend looking into kbeauty if light/clean girl makeup is your style. Their products aren’t as pigmented as American brands. Some I recommend include Rodin (too cool for school contour), rom&d (cute lip glosses and blush), clio (foundation cushions, and eyeshadow palettes), etc.

If you have a mix style between American and Kbeauty, I recommend looking up Thai style. It has the soft and subtle features of east Asian eye makeup, the the base makeup of American “full beat”. I can’t recommend much off the top of my head, but I hope this helps!

Re: Help!

as someone who has struggled with oily skin, double cleansing is the best for me. Start with an oil-based cleanser (i use the anua oil cleanser) and then a water-based cleanser (i use the tatcha purple rice cleanser). I emphasize using the oil cleanser and really rubbing it in for a few minutes to pull out sebum. I hope this helps!!

Re: Help!

@P0ppyyy I feel the Belif skin care is the most affordable of all of them.  I use it daily and LOVE it.  Try the sample pack that Sephora sells. belif belif Hydrate-and-go Travel Kit with belif SPF 50  It’s $21 has face wash, toner, eye cream moisturizer and sun block.   Its last a little over a week if used daily.  I used it morning and night and still had a bit left over end of week.   The sunscreen is a little pricey but cheaper that most in store.  It goes on nicely and feels great.   This is just my experience.  Good luck!
