Empties

I love seeing other peoples empties! So I decided to make a board where people could post pictures of their empties, or just tell us about them! I'd also be interested in knowing whether you're repurchasing anything or not.

Re: Empties

You're spot on about the Coola baby mineral being similar to MD - I have both and don't have a preference when deciding between the two. I really like Coola products .. I'm primarily outside for work and have found that they're non-drying (don't leave my skin feeling parched), doesn't leave me looking like I took a ride down the baby oil slide, and using it directly onto my face - I don't experience the nasty eye sting that I experience with other product lines. The one Coola item that I highly recommend is the Radical Recovery lotion .. for as much sunscreen as I use, there have been a few times where even a slight burn on my arms makes it hard for duty carry and this lotion has saved me.

Sorry for the long reply!

Re: Empties

I am glad for the long reply! I will have to look into that recovery lotion. Thanks!

Re: Empties

I've been interested in Sun Bum products but have yet to try them.

Re: Empties

I recommend it. Even my husband likes it, the spray sunscreen smells good and dries quickly.  The lip balms are really good as well, the pomegranate flavor smells really good and tastes good too lol.

Re: Empties

I think they are definitely worth a try. I get my sun bum products at Ulta, but I have been seeing them pop up in the major grocery stores too.

Re: Empties

I have $125 rewards points at Ulta burning a hole in my pocket (thanks to 10x points). I may look into something. It may be better to wait until next summer though to get a later expiration date when I try them. Have so many items expiring within the next year. Thanks for the info.

Re: Empties

I have never had a empty except, mascara, eyeliner, and concealor. But i am not sure if they count since they were really just dried up. Am i alone in this?

edit to add, i have also only hit pan on two eyeshadows, and thats just barely.

Re: Empties

I am the same way lol. I go through mascara, and I have hit pan on one blush and a few eyeshadows. But they are shades that are base type shades. It is so rare for me to run out of anything except samples.

Re: Empties

I used to be this way.  I think because beauty products are so expensive I was always hesitant to use them up.  Now this thread has pushed me in the opposite direction.  I'm much, much better at using up my stash.

Re: Empties

I count dried up stuff in my empties.  But I do actually have a brow pencil and a foundation next time around!!  So proud of myself!

Re: Empties

No, you're not alone. I finish skincare products, but I had never finished anything resembling makeup until 2015. Even then, I've finished lip balms and sample sized items. I've never finished a full-sized item (other than one CC cream recently). I was super proud of it, too. I rarely wear makeup, but I am trying to wear at least CC cream and lip balm when I leave the house now. Of the past five weekdays, I managed CC cream and lip balm twice. It's a start.

Re: Empties

Sorry in advance.  My empties for May - August.

Hair & body

Spoiler
Shave gel hiding behind the Endless Summer scrub is from a passion party. Anyone else have to go to one of these?

Foils, wipes and UD setting spray I forgot to include in the previous pic.

Stuff that either went bad or sucked.  Shout-out to MrsBaine who made me throw out that MUFE foundation. Turns out I bought it in 2010.  😕

Re: Empties

Great empties!  I'm always impressed at how much you ladies go through.  Also props to you for throwing out things that are bad or suck.  I need to get better about that.  I have no problem using up and throwing out empties but sometime I have a hard time getting rid of something that still has product even when I know I don't love it.  I really wanted to love that Caudalie Beauty Elixir but the smell was just too intense for me.  I swear it felt like spraying perfume to the face.

Re: Empties

In the second picture, is that the Sephora Lavender blotting papers?  If so, how did you like them compared to the Boscia peppermint blotting papers?

Re: Empties

Sorry!  Missed this!  I like the Boscia ones better.  I need more of the Sephora ones to get all of my face.  I also didn't notice any difference between these and the other flavors/scents Sephora has.

Re: Empties

Nice empties! Out of curiosity, how did you like the dove dry spray?

Re: Empties

Thanks!  I didn't like it at first but I started using it at night and I really like it now!  I still use lightly it in the morning but the nighttime spray really makes a difference!

Re: Empties

I have to try this tonight! With a daytime spray only, I was getting funky by lunchtime. My coworkers might thanks you 😉

Re: Empties

This made me laugh, and I am going to share May-August next week as well, so I also apologize in advance. I am tired of being behind, so I need to catch up.

Lots of goodies here. I am impressed you finished a They're Real full sized liner. I have not even been able to finish a micro mini yet.

Re: Empties

Oh I didn't finish it NC.  It was so difficult to use that I'm just getting rid of it.  I hadn't used it in a while and much of it had dried out.  I don't know if it was just me or if it was too old but I couldn't get a solid line.

Re: Empties

I wondered if it went bad or sucked (based on what you wrote above). Looks like both. My lines are never solid either, because my hands shake too much. I need something a little more foolproof, but I keep trying to see if I can get it.
