I love seeing other peoples empties! So I decided to make a board where people could post pictures of their empties, or just tell us about them! I'd also be interested in knowing whether you're repurchasing anything or not.
I feel eel like in forgetting something.. But here are my empties for the month.
Love: the Ouidad!
Maybe: shiseido eye cream, Ren mask, TBS Brazil nut oil (smells ANAZING!) I liked the Korres Wild Rose but it seemed too heavy for my skin. I'm using the yogurt sleeping facial now, so it depends on how I like that.
Nope: purity made simple, BBW Fresh Picked Lemon body cream
there were some foils too, but I forgot about them and they weren't amazing anyways
It was good! I really like the hair gel that came in the set. It wasn't really HG status for me, but one of the better products I've found. Especially with how my hair reacts to summer humidity.
Alrigh! It took me a couple days to get back to normal after my camping trip but here are my empties for July
amourpacific refreshing moisture bound gel- meh, not as good as shiseido.
ole hendriksen sheer transformation- one of my favorite creams. So light and quick absorbing. I rebuy.
Dior hydra life skin perfect- I liked it. Felt very nice on and has a subtle nice smell. I would consider buying this when I run low on something else.
murad illuminating day moisture SPF 30- really loved this one! Will be purchasing this! I love that it's a lotion that has SPF!
Urban decay original eye primer- I don't like these. It goes on clumpy and there are patchy areas when it dries. :/. I used it when I knew I'd be at home with neutral eye looks and only cause I was trying to use up my samples.
mufe hd primer- these were alright. They went on light and did their job. I have no complaints. If you're looking for a basic primer I'd suggest this, the thing is there are a lot of other primers out there that work on specific skin conditions which many of us have. If your skin is already pretty decent and has no issues this is good.
Fresh black tea instant perfecting mask- I liked this as far as I remember. I am already using retinoids and glycolic peels here and there so I beleive I was able to absorb more antioxidants. I have it on my purchase list.
shiseidosun protection- lightweight and feels lovely on! Will repurchase!
Md solar sciences mineral tinted cream- love! It looks just like your skin but better!!! I got more compliments on my skin than usual wearing this stuff!! I love that it's a sunscreen as well!
Japan gals face mask- I really enjoy these! I have so many more to try! I picked up one of each when I was in japan last year! They're so relaxing!
Asience shampoo and conditioner- I received a bunch of these as a gift from the hotel in japan last year. I like them. They don't dry out my hair and they smell like flowers. I don't think I'd rebuy unless I were in a situation where that was all I recognized.
Strivectin-sd cream- I really love this stuff. It's already been repurchased.
sephora waterproof eye makeup remover- this is my go to remover. Enough said
body shop satsuma body wash- I used to like body shop and this is one of many residual items. I love the smell but find it actually drying. Won't be repurchasing but I'm sure it will be gifted to me again at christmas.
Feria power shimmer conditioner- love this stuff! I buy hair dyes and toss the dye and use the conditioner. Lol! Guilty!
Vaseline problem skin therapy- I love this!! I have lots of body shop butters that are too strong and I've been mixing them with the Vaseline cream and it really tones it down. I love that it's Unscented. I always rebuy this stuff.
dior addict perfume- already own and love this
i'eau d'issey perfume- really nice
cartier la panthere- buying this once I use up one perfume bottle.
Abh brow wiz- my HG brow product.
Ysl babydoll mascara- so far the best mascara I've tried. Waiting til I use up six of my other mascaras before repurchasing
smashbox full exposure mascara- hated this! Dried out really fast and flaked.
The rest are sunscreens-
i would only reccomend
coppertone ultra guard SPF 70- because SPF 70! I only use this on my body however cause it does sting if you get it in your eyes.
Neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch SPF 30- this is fantastic!! It is a cream to powder product!! Love it! It's great for face!
Hawaiian tropic sheer touch spf45- loved this one as well. So light and creamy. I love that I'm moisturizing while sunscreening
Welcome back. I've missed your beautiful face. I like the Neutrogena sunscreen too. I've never tried any of the other ones. Glad to her you like the Babydoll mascara. I keep going back and forth trying to decide whether or not to open that or the Better Than Sex Mascara next. I cannot decide which I want to try more.
Thanks kim! I missed you as well but there was no way to get away from all the other people for long enough to sign in an contribute':/. It was intoxication week for all our friends and it's hard to escape drunk friends when you're sharing cabins..i've got that better than sex mascara open as well as three others right now. So far not impressing me. It's so clumpy. I'd open that one first since I have a feeling the babydoll will just make you hate it more. Wow, I must really not like it at all.
Hi there! *waves*
Coming back to visit for empties time Absolutely huge month for empties for me, my Sephora bag was literally overflowing.
Simple Oil Balancing Cleansing Wipes- very nice, but I have found paraben-free options I equally
Le Couvent Des Minimes 3-in-1 Micellar Water with 3 Beneficial Roses- LOVE the scent of this, excellent product and reasonably priced (about $17). Will definitely keep in my rotation.
Swisspers Cotton Rounds
Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Cream Cleanser- IN LOVE WITH. Unfortunately, price is ridiculous so I will have to stick with getting this in GWPs.
REN Radiance Perfection Serum- my second deluxe sample, really enjoyed. Smells like raw pumpkin, really brightened my face. I like Lancome Genifique better though.
Dr. Brandt XXY Dual Fusion Water- good product but I prefer lesser expensive options
Kate Somerville Exfolikate- LOVED. Too expensive for me though.
Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Gel- very very drying on my skin, hated the feeling of the gel.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo- this has officially replaced my HG DDF Benzoyl Peroxide. The LRP version has a stronger percentage (5.5%), is much less expensive and has a better texture that absorbs. The DDF version tends to pill up on my skin a few hours later. Have already purchase a full-size
Lancome Dreamtone Serum- really loved, may add to my regimen
Garnier Nourishing Cleansing Oil- thought this was very comparable to high end cleansing oils!
Urban Decay De-Slick XL- WOAH that took forever to use up. Use daily, Holy Grail item Had a backup waiting.
NARS Sheer Matte Foundation- sadly not an empty but a throw away. Went to get it out of my stash after putting it away a few months and found that the cap had partially corroded away and the foundation had dried out. Won't repurchase, it was ok but very drying and acne-causing on my skin. Loved the light coverage and initial look though.
Laura Mercier Mineral Powder- HG powder foundation, one of the rare foundations I've found that I can wear for 13+ hours at work and not have a resulting breakout from. Love the soft glow this gives to your skin, very natural looking. Had a backup waiting!
Mineralogie Cream Concealer- very nice, great color match on me. Great for under-eye and blemishes. Very hard brand to get a hold of though.
Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara- very nice, repurchased the waterproof version
Chanel Le Volume De Chanel- very nice volumizing mascara
Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom and Honey- LOVE, own the full size
Bare Minerals BareSkin Serum Foundation- loved and purchased
Korres Anti-Aging Primer- made my skin shiny
Fresh Life EDP- LOVED the scent but this stuff disappears ridiculously fast for an EDP
Organix Australian Tea Tree Shampoo- hoped this might be a dupe for the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo, but nothing can beat PM
Suave 2-Minute Recovery Deep Condition- have had this forever and wanted to use up. Despite the cheap price tag, this stuff was actually pretty decent!
2 Stage Moisture Miracle Mask & Serum- something else I've had around forever. Hair was not happy with.
Madison Reed Nourishing Color Enhancer Shampoo & Conditioner- don't have color treated hair, but this stuff was ok
L'Oreal Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm- too heavy
DevaCurl One Condition- it was ok, won't repurchase
Wild Apple Daffodil Shower Gel- very nice scent
Garden Strawberries Foaming Hand Soap- looovee the scent
Body Shop Cocoa Butter Body Butter- love the scent, a little too moisturizing for me, left my skin a little greasy
Vitafusion Multi-Vites- yes vitamins are in my empties. These taste amazing and I 100% recommend if anyone is interested in gummy vitamins (you know you are )
Cotton Blossom Wallflower
Ulta Fresh Lilac Lotion- lovely scent
Ayres Body Butter in Patagonia- OH EM GEE. This is hands down the best body butter I have ever used. Melts right in to your skin and is super silky. I wasn't 100% on this scent but would definitely repurchase in a different scent. Sad that this stuff is pretty expensive but I think it is worth it!
I am close to finishing a few items, so I am going to push off my post for a bit.
Look at you. I love how much you used up this month.
I am actually in the market for a new vitamin. Between 9 months of pregnancy and almost three years of breasfeeding, I have been taking prenatals for way too long. I stopped breastfeeding over two months ago, so I want to switch to a regular multivitamin once my current ones are gone. A chewy one seems interesting. I hate the taste of vitamins, and I am having a hard time finding a coated one (like my prenatals).
I got a sample of that Body Shop body butter. When you said it was too moisturizing, I perked up. I cannot wait to try the sample now. I had a coconut one a while back, but I only used it on my hands. The scent was a little too strong for all over my body.
I see you started cutting open items. I am doing that too. I've already got a lot of extra use out of things I thought were empty.
Definitely try the gummy vitamins, they are delicious! I know they make prenatal vitamins as well
The Body Shop's Cocoa Butter smells absolutely delicious. I really love the cocoa butter scrub. My skin doesn't need a huge amount of hydration so products like this tend to be a little too hydrating for me, but I've heard others rave about this product
I couldn't believe how much product I was leaving in packaging until I started cutting things open! I think I got another 3 uses out of the Estee Lauder face wash and another 2 out of the Exfolikate!
I'm hitting the bottom of:
-Ole Henriksen Truth Serum (is there ANY surprise of this???? )
-Origins No Puffery Eye Roller
-Anthony Logistics Blood Orange Lip Balm (believe this one is now discontinued, noooooooo)
I've already had to replace my AL Glycolic Face Wash with a new bottle, my bf is running low on Philosophy's Microdelivery Face Scrub and the PTR Resurfacing Scrub, looks like a Sephora trip is in the plans for this weekend!
This is my first time browsing this thread. I have to admit I never saw what could be so compelling about looking at other people's empty shampoo bottles but now I'm hooked! I literally just had the fleeting thought of pawing through my garbage like a raccoon to find my Peter Thomas Roth serum bottle and a few foil packs so I can start my empties collection and post next month. This does not bode well.
