Thanks so much for the feedback on the fragrance @WinglessOne

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@PrettyPaint  No problem!

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

Those are some great picks, @WinglessOne! I haven’t tried it, but I am also interested in the Kosas powder blushes, and I’ve never even swatched them. Maybe it’s just the packaging caching my eye lol

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@ChickenGurlie  😂 I hear ya’. Those Kosas blushes initially lured me with their marbling. I was (and still am) curious to find out firsthand if this blush formula is similar to either Hourglass’s or Laura Geller’s—or somewhere in-between. I don’t expect an Hourglass blush result (though with HG it really depends on how your blush is marbled), but maybe not a Laura Geller result either. I won’t know til I buy one and see! 😅

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@WinglessOne, that’s quite interesting to hear! Haha now I’m even more intrigued because I didn’t know the marbling could make a difference in formula!!

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@ChickenGurlie  Eh, the difference is more about pigmentation. Example: each blush in the  Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Collection  is a marble of pigmented blush powder and finishing powder. The finishing powders are mixed in to create a soft-glow lighting effect. They’re beautiful blushes, as long as the one you get has enough pigmented marbling. Otherwise you’ll end up with a “blush” that’s really more of an Hourglass Ambient® Lighting Finishing Powder : so much finishing powder, the blush will barely (if at all) show up on your skin because there’s not enough pigmented powder swirled in.

The Kosas blushes always look like they’re heavily marbled enough for this to not be a problem, thank goodness. But it’s still something to keep in mind. The Violette_Fr blush sticks are marbled, and both of mine are well marbled. As a visual example though, here’s my swatch of the VIOLETTE_FR BISOU BLUSH Marbled Cream Blush Stick Marnie  I bought during this spring sale:

Marnie’s marbled, so make sure your blush stick contains enough of the deeper brown color. The faint beige/tan at the very top of the Marnie swatch is the lighter brown color. (Rest of swatch is both shades mixed together.)Marnie’s marbled, so make sure your blush stick contains enough of the deeper brown color. The faint beige/tan at the very top of the Marnie swatch is the lighter brown color. (Rest of swatch is both shades mixed together.)

If this blush stick had more of that lighter beige color than the deeper brown color, then I’d have to exchange it for another one with better marbling. Luckily, it’s good as-is.

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

Great thoughts, @WinglessOne! I’m glad you could save yourself money!

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@curlychiquita  My wallet’s also very glad! 😂

If anyone else tries KILIAN Paris Angels' Share Paradis Extrait de Parfum with Raspberry & Tonka Bean 1.7 oz / 50 mL parfum spray , I’d love to hear others’ thoughts on it. Some reviewers’ feedback makes me wish this fragrance smelled on me the way it apparently does on them. On a paper test strip, the raspberry was prominent but I could still smell cognac, sandalwood, tonka bean, and a bit of moss. But it turned very raspberry one-note on my skin.

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@WinglessOne - I always enjoy reading your thoughts/thought process.  I'd like to know what you think of the Aestura Atobarrier365.  This is on my Loves list (I'm not looking to purchase it during the sale).

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

@Titian06  I’ll tag you when I’ve tested that lotion on my face, which might happen this weekend. For now, I’ll say it’s thicker than CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion but not quite as thick as CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. Or I dunno, maybe it is the same thickness as CeraVe’s cream… I’m (surprisingly) all out of that cream, so I can’t do a direct comparison right now. Definitely thicker than CeraVe’s lotion, which I normally use daily on my face. Aestura’s lotion moisturized my hands well tonight: it left a soft lotiony finish on my fingers but doesn’t feel greasy, just kinda plushly moisturized. 👍

Re: Sephora Savings Event 2025 Shopping Advice Thread: What’s in Your Basket?

I have tried the shampoo and conditioner before, but I am new to the hair mask. They make my hair feel so nice, I love the shampoo! It lathers so nicely, it's so satisfying!
