@Suzanne713, I put on the YSL lip oil as soon as I got back. 😂 I do like the YSL - it's thinner than the Dior, which is also a love of mine. The plumping aspect has a noticeable stinging/tingling (though neither is a good descriptor for the feel) that kicks about a minute after applying and pressing lips together that is more noticeable than the Lawless plumping gloss. I didn't check this time to see about the actual plumping effect - will try to remember to do that over the weekend. 

My store didn't have a tester of the #4 - arrrgghh!!! It was the only one that they didn't have a tester for that shade and I see it's OOS online, too. I also considered getting #6 ... maybe that "in case of emergency" gift card will be coming in handy sooner than I thought, hahahaha! Must. Be. Strong.

I really want to try the milk skin tint. That's good you were able to be shade-matched. What shade did you get? I'm noticing that a lot of shades are sold out at this point.

Thank you @PrettyPaint! I need to pay more attention to whether it plumps up my lips but it's not too stingy/tingly. I notice it start to do that about a minute after applying and smooshing (is that a word?!!) my lips together, but it's not painful. It's definitely noticeable, more so than the Lawless plumping gloss but waaaaaaaaay less than the old MILK lip plumpers.

lol, oh, let's hope 🤞🤞 I don't deviate outside of the gift card when it comes time to stick to my haul hibernation season - if there's a purchase, it'll have be with the gift card or a Rouge Reward/points. 

I ended up getting shade 4 - when I swatched it in store, before being matched, I thought I'd be shade 5. I was matched to shades 4 and 5, which is probably pretty accurate. Shade 4 brightens up my complexion 👍 without being too light. Shade 5 makes for a good match as well, but, compared to Shade 4, it makes my complexion look just a teensy bit dull.  Maybe this will help more - 

 

If you are near a Sephora store, they may have shades in stock in store. Shade 5 went OOS online last night. If there's a Sephora at Kohl's near you, you may want to check there as well - they often have shades available that go OOS in store and online at Sephora.

@itsfi Of course smooshing is a word! 🙂 I'm glad to hear it's not too tingly. 

Another observation (because I was talking with you about sunscreen earlier)... That sun safety kit is nowhere to be seen. I wonder if they are skipping it this year. It seems pretty late. I was going to wait to buy sunscreen, but perhaps I should just choose something while the sale is on. 

You are so sweet to post swatches of the Milk skin tint. That's really helpful. I could venture out to a store an hour away, but I may just try to order online to avoid the drive. From your photos, I'm thinking 4 might be best for me (as long as it's not too warm). I'm not sure that Milk's online photos are entirely accurate, but I think the model wearing shade 3 seems most similar to my skintone funny enough. I usually find that "light" matches better than "fair," though.

Ugh, I think you're onto something with the Sun Safety Kit, @PrettyPaint. I do hope they have one this year, but now I'm wondering whether it will be released after the sale if they do have it; but that timing is later than usual. 

I hear ya on avoiding the drive if you can. I have fewer and fewer options these days. Yeah, the variances between lines or even within the same line, or between the description of the shade and the actual shade itself is always interesting. And then there's the undertones to consider.

@itsfi Yeah, I tend to avoid longish drives when possible, but I'm weird like that. I can't remember whether the sun safety kit has magically appeared in the past or whether it gets loaded to the site with availability dates in advance; however, I'm not entirely convinced it's going to appear this year. 😥 That's ok. I'll just have to be a bit more selective about which sunscreen I choose.

@itsfi Haha...I just messaged you about them a moment ago. Ultra Violette Future Fluid SPF 50+ Superlight Mineral Fragrance Free Facial Sunscreen Serum 1.7 oz/50 mL   and ISDIN Fusion Water Magic SPF 40 Sunscreen with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E 1.7 oz/50 mL

@PrettyPaint, both those sound like great sunscreens. I have the Ultra Violette one on its way here. I found both of them in store and they both feel nice on the skin - easy to blend, absorbs well.

• ISDIN Fusion Water Magic SPF 40 Sunscreen with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E 1.7 oz/50 mL  - chemical UV filters; no tint; has a lotion like consistency. It's thicker than the Ultra Violette sunscreen but I wouldn't say it's that thick. 
• Ultra Violette Future Fluid SPF 50+ Superlight Mineral Fragrance Free Facial Sunscreen Serum 1.7 oz/50 mL  - mineral UV filters; tinted is very thin and light - the difference in texture between the two is more evident in the swatch of the SPF being blended out. 

I don't recall there being a scent to either, but I am dealing with allergies so that can throw off my sense of smell.

@itsfi This is so helpful! Thank you. I also somehow missed that the Ultra Violette is tinted, so that's good to know. The thinness of the Ultra Violette is really appealing, so I think that's the one I'll try out. I hope your allergies calm down soon.
