Wow. I've been debating getting a couple more items for the last two days, but have managed to hold off since they are "wants", not needs. Now that a carrot has been dangled to other folks instead of rouge, I certainly won't be purchasing today. If they offer rouge bonus points tomorrow, I might, but I've got a bit of a bad taste in my mouth over this right now. I re-platinumed at ulta in mid-january, but have spent less than $200 at Sephora to date...ulta just has better rewards. Rouge members are the high-dollar shoppers...maybe they figure we'll all stick around simply because we're so loyal, but that's certainly not how it works for me. I need incentives lol.
I agree. Every time I see Ulta's GWP's, I'm so eager to make purchases. And they're full size items too! Not the measly foil packet. I haven't even hit $100 at Sephora this year. I've definitely taken advantage of Nordies, Bloomy's, SpaceNK and Cult Beauty. Looking at my old big purchases from Sephora just looks like I threw money down the drain since we don't get any extra perks with our purchases.
Well that just figures, lol. I thought Rouge received all benefits of the other tiers, so why are we not eligible for this??

So they are excluding their highest paying customer from a 2x the points event? Am I understanding this correctly? This is so ridiculously @$$ backwards I'm having a hard time believing it.
I just got an email from Sephora to my Rouge account reminding me that the 15% off is ending soon.. NO MENTION of 2x points.
I got the same reminder of 15% off... If it ends tomorrow do you think we will get 2x the points tomorrow? I find it ridiculous that their most loyal aren't getting this... Again who the hell runs their marketing department??? WOW! Unbelievable!!!!!
@veronika23 right? i am honestly so frustrated with their rewards system anymore! and it really bugs me that they did away with the higher discount for rouge vs VIB ;/
@unfungirl I guess they like loosing money... Pissing off your most loyal customers will surely make that happen. It's no wonder Ulta has surpassed Sepohra... where do they think those loyal customers went??? SMDH
Now that Ulta is carrying more of the higher end brands, it just makes sense since they give better perks to their Platinum members. Now if only they would make their 20% promotion multi use.

@unfungirlyup. Everything they do is a failure and there's no follow through... I just don't understand it...
SO if we gave Sephora benefit of the doubt and said they were giving us 2x (or maybe 4x??) points tomorrow.. it would have made more sense to have given the higher-tier reward first, because all they have done is get us all riled up over it.
Sephora HAS to know that VIB and ROUGE watch this stuff like hawks.
@Insomniacmuffin I don't think they realize any of it... Heck they don't even use the best tool they have... BT! How much feedback do they get here... they don't listen. They never do!
I'm a little disappointed that the tote didn't have samples in it. Geez, I feel like a brat just typing that LOL but y'all know what I mean 😛 it would be nice to sample some new things in addition to what I bought. I stuck to my very small list and now I'm feeling the itch to buy more!
In contrast to the frustrating stories being shared on here (believe me, I have some too - one from this year, and one from last!), I thought I would share this funny story with you:
I went into the store on the first day of the sale, and was greeted by a very enthusiastic (and I think new, since I haven't seen him before) SA. He asked me if I needed any help, what my beauty insider level was, and when I said rouge, he said, "Oh! You get a 50% discount on everything in the store today!". Another sales associate was quick to run over and correct him that it was 15%, but as I walked away, I heard him asking her, "Really? Only 15%? I've been telling people wrong all day... "

Thanks for that experience. It gave me a good laugh. That would be great if it was 50% off, but there would be a large lineup to get into the store if that was true.
