Fall into September and share your Sensational hauls!
Happy birthday to the Bic beauties!
Isamaya, Nordstrom, and Sephora Rouge Reward:
I gotta say, this Sephora-friendly Isamaya Core case is MUCH easier to hold and lay flat than the old Industrial case. 😄
Swatches & notes:
Isamaya Core 1.0 palette - updated version of the Industrial 1.0 palette. This new version contains replacements of four original palette shades, and I think several others were reformulated. I’m kinda sad the original blackened blue shade’s gone, but overall I’m not mad about buying it—especially since I had a $25 discount.
Swatch order: wrist is the green on the far left side of the palette; from there, I swatched the palette in a clockwise spiral.
The last shade I swatched is the sparkly black near my elbow. My photo doesn’t convey how sparkly that and some other shades are, so here’s a closeup of that black (and the copper beside it) with flash turned on: Blurry closeup to catch the sparklies.
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow Stick LE Holiday shade Radiant Pink - I await the limited shades each year and often buy at least one. Thanks to @TraceyEB for the heads-up (in theBobbi Brown Thread) that they’re here now! BB’s metallic and iridescent shadow sticks generally aren’t as grippy and long-wearing as the mattes, but they perform well for me atop primer. (Heck, I sometimes use a BB matte shadow stick as a primer.) And I wasn’t about to pass up this bold metallic pink.
Malin+Goetz Tomato Home Spray - stocking up on this already (I bought my first one last month). 😅 It’s great at clearing that wet cat food smell of cooking Beyond Burgers, among other kitchen odors. I’m glad I can Nordy Note it since it’ll likely be an ongoing rebuy.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Palette, Fox - beautiful fox artwork* + five new shades + one Ghost quad shade (also available for customized quads) + increased price = yeah, let’s wait for the Sephora drop and Rouge Reward it. 👍 I’m too swatched-out tonight to do all the comparisons I’d like, so no swatch photos yet. I’m especially interested to see this against the Universe palette, which I really should use more often. I’ll probably post comparison photos inThe Deeper Hues Thread (Swatches, Color Matching, etc.) this weekend.
*The fox alone was enough to win me over, but fox with blue floral surround kinda reminds me of the tulikettu (firefox). And since I’m sentimental about various things, including the northern lights and the story of the firefox and how it relates to some of my struggles, I knew this would be the palette case I’d get—be it curated or “custom”—if I decided to order a palette.
Kulfi Lassi Lips Staining Long-Lasting Moisturizing Lip Oil Guava - adding another shade of this lovely glossy lip stain to my hoard. Lucky Lotus is still my favorite, but I love each one I have. They’re beautiful when first applied, wear down gracefully, and leave a beautiful colorful stain behind without making my lips a desert.Photo taken right after application. Far left side of photo is in warm lighting.
Happy fall, everyone! This is my favorite season, though the weather’s stuck in summer for the next week or so. I’m so looking forward to crisper cooler days! 🍂🍁☕️
@WinglessOne beautiful hauls and swatches! That Bobbi Brown eyeshadow stick is gorgeous, I might have to check those out...Always interesting to hear your thoughts on everything. Hope you enjoy it all!
Thanks @caitbird ! I see Ulta now has the Bobbi Brown holiday items online, including the new LE shadow sticks. 😉 If they get ‘em in-store, there are a couple other shades I’d like to swatch.
@WinglessOne Kulfi Lassi Lips Staining Long-Lasting Moisturizing Lip Oil Guava Looks so good on you!! I'll have to try out the Malin & Goetz, I had a few tomato scented products over the summer and it may be a new love!
Thanks @missjeanie ! The M&G spray is very tomato vine and basil. I also have the candle but haven’t lit it yet. Its cold throw smells a lot like the spray, so I have high expectations of it. 😅 What tomatoey products have you liked?
@WinglessOne I've used a few hand soaps from a local vendor here I found at a farmers market that I loved. I had originally seen the Loewe version but can't bring myself to spend that on a hand soap lol. I've since tried the Mrs. Myers cleaning products and I believe a WoodWick candle. They were all interesting... I think this has unlocked a new scent profile for me that I'm now into trying out more.
Radiant Pink from Bobbi Brown is gorgeous on you!
I am excited that Isamaya is now at Sephora, but I hope more items will come! Especially their eyeshadows!
Your swatches are beautiful!
Thanks @tsavorite ! I’ll be very surprised if the Core palettes don’t show up at Sephora. Isamaya redesigned (toned down) her product packaging for Sephora, and I’m pretty sure the 1.0 palette was reformulated to be more user-friendly for “the average Sephora customer.” Kinda like Pat McGrath’s later Motherships losing their 4 “baked” blitz/astral shades in favor of more user-friendly textures; apparently a lotta Sephora customers had trouble using those special shades. Anyway, keep an eye out for the Isamaya palettes!
Thanks, @WinglessOne ! I will keep my eyes open!
@WinglessOne Wow, Guava is beautiful on you!
Thank you @CookieGirl1 @danielledanielle @curlychiquita!
Beautiful makeup, @WinglessOne! I love seeing the colors in the Isamaya palette! The black color is so interesting.
Ooohh oooohhh hhhooooo, radiant piiiinnkkk @WinglessOne
New Melt Cosmetics Twelfth Hour Eyeshadow Stack
The peach duo in the stack looks pretty, @SportyGirly125.
@SportyGirly125 How are they? They look like they would wear lightly.
@Ispend2much6 @I haven’t tried them out yet since I just got them. I have tried the Melt brand and the stacks from them and liked what I have tried so far. Melt eyeshadows are pretty pigmented. The shades look a little lighter due to lighting.
Those are pretty, I bet they are really versatile @SportyGirly125
