@caitbird, the Caboodle!!! A blast from the past! That’ll make for a fun storage / organizer. Those bath bombs (both Ulta & Sephora) are almost too cute to use.

Is that the Caboodle train case that has a clear bottom compartment? I’ve considered getting one to gift away. Love how colorful it is. Hope it works well for you!

@WinglessOne  thank you! (lol, "Fridapaw" I love that!) Yes, this is the clear Caboodles train case - I have 2 of them (and a 3rd in a different color pattern), they are great and hold quite a lot.

Yves Saint Laurent Make Me Blush 24H Buildable Powder Blush 83 Spicy Berry - finally gonna try this shade after side-eyeing YSL’s blush marketing choices. My hand swatch told me it’ll definitely show up on my cheeks, so that’s good. The texture kinda reminds me of Gucci’s powder blushes, but those are less pigmented than Spicy Berry (and possibly the rest of YSL’s powder blushes).

Ciele Flush Blush Brush - this is @Sunnysmom’s fault. 🙂 I haven’t used it yet but it’s got more structure—more density—than I expected. Fluffy, but just dense enough to maybe offer controlled application. I’ll find out soon.

KILIAN Paris Apple Brandy Eau de Parfum Travel Spray with Bergamot 0.24oz/7.5ml - bought this to complete the BI Challenge. I mean it is one of my all-time favorite fragrances, so it’s not a frivolous buy. I just didn’t really need more of it yet. What I normally do is buy the refill for my full size bottle. But I don’t mind having a backup mini size for travel purposes.

Hung Vanngo Color Story palette, Brilliant Blue - now that I’ve used the green palette, let’s try the blue one! Or as I call it, the “bluebird visits a robin’s nest” palette. I’ll have to carve out some playtime next month.

Summer Fridays Gentle Reset Exfoliating Pads - saw these in someone’s haul post… was it @ather? And I was intrigued because hey, these are individually wrapped single-step pads; perfect for travel! They contain heartleaf extract, one of my skin’s favorite soothing things. Also contain tea tree oil, something my skin tolerates only in small amounts and infrequently used. I’ve used 3 pads this month (one a week) with no irritation, so I’m comfortable relying on these for travel. 👍

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% High-Strength Exfoliating Serum for Uneven Texture 1 oz/ 30 mL - a restock. I wish The Ordinary would make a 15% lactic acid serum, but their 10% works well for me.

Dior Rouge Dior On Stage Lipstick shade Daring Blush - did I ever mention how much I love this glossy long-wearing formula? 🙃 Of course I bought a second shade.

Dior Rouge Dior On Stage Lipstick shade Wild Rosewood - aaaannnd let’s have a third shade! This one gets compliments each time I wear it. “Geez, are you gonna buy the whole dang shade range?” No. 😅 But if Dior releases some purples and/or more fun colors, I’ll probably jump on ‘em.

NARS #11 Soft Matte Complete Concealer Brush - I have a couple other brushes this shape, but this one’s a smaller size. It might work better in my hollow tear troughs than the others.

Peanuts x UBC Friends for Life Makeup Bag Set - this hit me right in the childhood nostalgia and I couldn’t pass it up. ❤️ It’s a vanity case + dog bone makeup bag.

Kind of an odd shape to work with, but holds a surprising amount of stuff. And it’s satin lined.
About-face Fractal Glitter Eye Paint shades Cherie and Glitch - picked these up on sale after eyeing them for a little while. I can’t say much about them til I’ve played with ‘em.

rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tint shade Grape Bomb - my second shade of this formula. These tints aren’t as long-wearing on me as Kulfi’s or Violette_Fr’s, but I do like ‘em.

NYX Lip IV Hydrating Gloss Stain shade Grape Gushin - picked this as a test subject. When worn as a gloss, it’s juicy, shiny, lightweight, non-stick, and fully pigmented. It does bleed though, so it needs a liner or primer. It’s disappointing as a lip stain: it barely stains my lips at all, and what’s left behind isn’t the same color as the gloss. I’ll always wear this as gloss instead.

Rabanne Mini Blushy Palette, Almost Famous - I like Rabanne’s powder eyeshadows and satin/cream lipsticks, so why not try their blush duo? I wish it wasn’t fragranced, but it’s less strongly scented than Dior’s whipped blush. The shimmer blush isn’t as smooth as I’d like; I can kinda feel the glitter in it. The other blush feels smoother. Before I can test this duo on my cheeks, I need to patch-test it on my neck for fragrance component irritation.

UNbrush - I adore my magical mini UNbrush but wanna reserve it for travel, so I bought this full size version for home use.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream - it’s been a long time since I used this. Curiosity demands I pit this against a couple of my usual body creams, now that temps are dropping. Perfect time for comparison testing.

Bobbi Brown Dual-Ended Long-Wear Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow Stick shade Radiant Rose/Brazen - bought this mostly for the deep berry matte end, but the metallic end’s pretty.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow Stick shade Toffee - one of the new shades. This’ll be a better lid primer shade for me than Taupe.

NATASHA DENONA Hy-Glam Brightening & Hydrating Medium to Full Coverage Crease Proof Serum Concealer ... - most neutral-undertoned complexion products pull yellow on me. But this one contains enough peach to play nice with my rosy undertone and mostly meld with my overtone(s). I’ll still use shade RP8 under my eyes, and occasionally mix that with NP14.

Londontown Cherry Cola Essentials Kit - this cute set contains Perfecting Nail Veil #10, mini glass file, hair clip, and mini puffy bag.

MAC Dazzlelips Crayon shades Cosmic Plum and Candy Yum Yummy - I love a lip crayon and these are sparkly and colorshifty so like, obviously I had to try ‘em. Cosmic Plum seems demi-sheer, so I might wear it over a lip liner base coat.

MAC Bounce & Gleam Highlighter shade Investmint - this is a great option for folks who wanna try a mint green highlighter but fear looking too unconventional. It’s a soft wash of mint-to-champagne that’ll catch the light without blinding anyone.

@ather  Heh, I usually say my short term memory’s awful compared to long term memory. (Don’t ask me what happened 5 minutes ago, but I can recall an event from 5 months or years ago in detail. 😂) It’s even worse now that I’ve got health-related brain fog. So I’m amazed when I remember something correctly that happened fairly recently. Anyway, thanks for sharing your feedback on the SF pads in your hauls post! Good influencing!

Wow the best haul @WinglessOne ! 😍So many beauties!! I’m trying to unsee the Dior Wild Rosewood lip- I’ve swatched it before and loved it. You will have such a good time with all of these ! YESSS to the darling Snoopy bag and bone bag! I hope you’re not sorry on Ciele brush, I do hope you like it!

Thanks @Sunnysmom ! I haven’t used the Ciele brush yet. But if it performs the way I think it will, then it’ll work well for me, especially along the sides of my face where I like to warm up some hyperpigmentation. 👍

I’ve worn Wild Rosewood nearly all October; can’t stop reaching for it. Had to pull it out of my purse for that haul photo. Er, what I should tell you is how completely utterly terrible and awful that shade is, my goodness, what was Dior thinking? You definitely should not buy Wild Rosewood, nope. Forget that Sephora’s sale’s around the corner. If you have Ulta points or Nordy Notes saved up, don’t waste ‘em on this unworthy lipstick. Just walk awa—nah, I’m bad at fake de-influencing. Just buy it already. 🤣 It’s truly beautiful. I might even get a backup soon because I suspect it won’t take me long to finish this tube.

Ugh thanks I think @WinglessOne ! 😭 I suppose so. The sale is the best time that’s for sure. I really like the red and red-brown shades I have. That is a special little formula! The Ciele brush was a sleeper hit for me! The angle and the composition of it make it so effective. Hope it works out for you!

Thanks @caitbird ! I was just telling someone how I wish Hung had put some kind of color story indicator on the outside of each palette (besides the back label), so I can quickly tell ‘em apart. I might add that detail myself: I’m very tempted to draw or paint a bluebird + robin + robin eggs on the front of the blue palette. If I do that, I might as well stick with a bird theme and put a parakeet or other green bird on the green palette. (Waiting for someone to say “put a bird on it!” 😅) Also, cannot stress how hard it is for me to lowercase “robin” this often. 😂

Hope you like the cherry cola Perfecting Nail Veil! I plan to put it on my nails later today.

@WinglessOne I also had problems with that NYX stain bleeding.  Was unfortunate as I enjoyed the shade of the gloss.  That Hung Vanngo blue palette.... dang those shades just pop!

@missjeanie  Yeah, the NYX gloss stain gets messy without some kind of liner or primer barrier to curb the bleeding. Sorry you had the same issue. This tells me it’s a formula-wide problem, not just a “purple lipsticks & glosses are generally problematic” thing—though the latter is true. I tempted fate by picking this shade to test.
