Nordstrom - the cosmetics part of a “gotta use some expiring Nordy Notes” order: 

Bobbi Brown should add Sapphire to their permanent shadow stick lineup.

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Waterproof Cream Eyeshadow Stick  Limited Edition shades Emerald and Sapphire - still my favorite brand of eyeshadow sticks, and I’m glad I finally caught two of their special holiday colors. These are both metallic and creamy, and they felt lightweight on my hand. Emerald’s a blue spruce color on me, not emerald green—and I’m okay with that. Sapphire is gorgeous and I might buy a backup. In true Bobbi Brown shadow stick fashion, both shades were budgeproof once they set on my hand.

Sassy Sauce Polish Simply Shreeeik is a thermal: 

Top is cold, bottom is warm.
Wildflower Lacquer I Know What You Did is magnetic. I pulled a simple diagonal line for the swatch. Here’s a closer look at that ghostly white-to-green flash: 

I was going to skip September’s PPU until I saw this polish.
Kathleen & Co Pumpkin Vibes is Mooncat Vaporize-esque, but it’s a much sheerer formula that needs building up (that’s 4 coats on my swatch stick). It’s color-shifty, but not as much as Vaporize. (Did I ever mention Vaporize is one of my favorite polishes ever?) Still pretty though. 

Color shifts of Pumpkin Vibes and I Know What You Did (the Sassy Sauce polish doesn’t shift as dramatically without temperature changes):

Thanks @Sunnysmom ! I was trying not to buy the double ended ones, but I’m pretty sure Ulta has them so I could get ‘em for $0 OOP… and they’d be even better for travel than the single ended shadow sticks… and there’s a deep navy blue involved, so… yeah, I may need to place another Ulta order. 🤣

Is Bobbi Brown worth the hype? I recently discovered the past month how easy eyeshadow sticks are to use on the go to feel pretty. I might check those sticks out @WinglessOne Enjoy your haul!

@Buootiful  Eh, depends on which Bobbi Brown product(s) we’re talking about, in terms of hype. Their shadow sticks are 100% worth it: they apply smoothly and blend easily for me—though you gotta blend fast because once they set, they don’t budge. 

I do think Laura Mercier’s shadow sticks ( Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Cream Eyeshadow ) blend even more easily, as do NARS’s reformulated shadow sticks ( NARS Total Seduction Smudge-Proof Eyeshadow Stick ). They’re probably easier for shadow stick newbies to work with. But neither of those 2 brands’ shadow sticks will set to a budgeproof finish like BB’s. With the BB sticks, I usually don’t need a shadow primer underneath. Heck, I’ve used neutral shades of BB sticks as primers while traveling: I always pack at least 2 shades for trips, including a neutral like Cashew or Taupe to double as a primer. These shadow sticks aren’t super tacky/grippy, but somehow they hold simple eye looks (using just 1-2 additional shades) in place on my hooded eyes. 

I also still like some of BB’s lipstick formulas, and still love Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder .

Thank you @CynthieLu ! Heh, PPU is very hard to resist sometimes. I try not to visit each month—but then I just end up at HHC instead. 🤦‍♀️ You have more resolve than I do. 😅
