@danielledanielle  😂 I didn’t know what the welcome gift would be and didn’t Google-sleuth to find out, but “jigsaw puzzle” was not among my guesses. (Well played, Dior!) I figured I’d kinda hide it in plain sight in my haul photo. 🤣

I just went to see your earlier reply… yeah, the mousse texture (vs. a liquid texture) does make a precise outline a bit challenging, even with a pointy applicator. Lip liner for the win there. 👍 Stars did set—well, the purple base set, not the glitter—but I didn’t try eating anything while wearing it. I expect any liquid matte to at least mostly (eh, less than 25% color loss) survive food and drink (less than 5% color loss), so I do still need to give Stars a proper wear test in that regard.

Thanks @sister13 ! I’m kinda glad I’m not the only one failing their lipstick low buy this year. And I mean that in the most supportive way, of course. 🙃 But seriously, it’s hard to resist lipstick when new releases are so interesting!

Yes, actually I was thinking the minis from promos/SEPHORiA might tide me over but actually they are making me want to buy my PREFERRED shades in those formulas, lol. @WinglessOne

Thanks @CorgiMommy ! It’s certainly one of the more unique gifts I’ve received from a cosmetics brand. I wonder how much Dior would normally charge for that puzzle… checking their site… a 1000 piece puzzle is USD $280; the one they sent me is 500 pieces and not the same design as the bigger puzzles, so… huh. 😅 Eh, I shouldn’t be surprised, I mean they also sell a poker set for USD $4900 and a leather playing cards case + 2 decks for $2250. Their water bottles are $210-$230; notebooks are $90-100. I know they’re not the only luxury label to sell expensive housewares and stuff, but still. 😂

Your hauls are the best! @WinglessOne  I've never ordered Dior direct but they look like they do a great job with presentation. Can I ask, How do you feel about your ordering experience?

Thank you so much for your thoughts on the Sequin Lippie. I was sooo close to picking it up ( I still might 🙈) but I think for my dry lips I may skip. I'm undecided. Your swatches thou, beautiful!!

Thanks @CynthieLu ! This was my 4th or 5th order direct from Dior. My first order was in 2022 when I bought their LE red shade of Diorshow Overcurl mascara. Normally I buy Dior from Nordstrom, Sephora, or Ulta, but some things are available only direct from the brand. Since I’ve placed so few direct orders and they’re spread over 2 years 😅, I had never reached Silver status in their reward program before. 

Dior is very easy to order from, and they’re good at communicating order/shipping status. Within the US they ship pretty quickly, at least to me. Each package has been well padded (paper padding). Example: all those puzzle pieces arrived wrapped in tissue paper, so they weren’t just loose inside the white Dior presentation box. And the larger shipping box was very well padded with paper to take up all the excess space. Samples/GWP are usually sent in a little white Dior-branded cotton pouch, and now I have 4 of 5 of those. 

Now that I think about it, I don’t remember if Dior lets you opt out of some of the pretty presentation in favor of less environmental waste. (Chanel does.) Noting to self to check for that. But yeah, all my orders from Dior have gone smoothly and everything’s arrived intact. Dior does send “how was your experience” survey email after orders. 

If you decide to pick up one of these glittery liquid mattes, let us know what you think of it! Dior does also make a lip gloss but Sephora US doesn’t currently carry it. Nordstrom does, and I’ll probably grab a shade there because I don’t think I’ve ever tried Dior’s gloss. 🤔 Gotta test it out!

@WinglessOne, you can pick the eco option.  The white boxes aren't usually included unless you get a gift.  Everything is still nicely packaged, like samples are in the little white satchet.  I didn't keep the haul pic on my phone, but it's somewhere on the boards.  If I'm on my laptop later, I can fish it out of the boards.

@danielledanielle  I’ll have to remember to look for the eco option next time I order. Getting things well presented in a shipping box is fun, sure, but I care more about things arriving intact and reducing waste when possible. Though as long as I can recycle the pretty presentation stuff, I’m kinda okay with it. This is the first of my Dior orders to include a white box (for the puzzle), and I kinda need the box since there’s a reference picture of the finished puzzle printed on the inner bottom—so I’m happy to have it. 😅 I’ll probably store puzzle pieces inside my 4 or 5 white Dior pouches.

I like that, something where you can opt out of the packaging, unless I was sending it as a gift or intentions to give as a gift I don't see myself needing it.

I've been thinking about trying Dior direct for awhile but haven't gone for it yet. I appreciate the insiders scoop. 🙏

Lol, I am torn on the sequin lip but I might just admire it from afar, for now at least. It sounds a little magical imo, it's a definite pull.

Found it! @CynthieLu & @WinglessOne .  This was an eco box order.  You still get the dior experience - the inside of the box has the logo, and like I said prior, you get the extras in a satchet, and paper shreds to soften the blows of the delivery also say "DIOR."

@danielledanielle  Thanks for sharing! Now that I see your photo, I think I did choose the eco option for one of my orders. I remember the branded shredded tissue paper. Gotta remember to do that from now on,  if  when I order again from Dior.
