@WinglessOne Great haul! ‌😄‌ I have a question about mixing mediums. I have water proof ones for making powders into eyeliners but I want to make powders into creamy eyeshadow, what works be the best medium to do that? Is the Mac Face and Body similar to Duraline and Aqual Seal?

@CynthieLu  Why, I just happen to also have Inglot Duraline and MUFE Aqua Seal. I use Duraline and Mehron Mixing Liquid a lot. I'm all out of Mehron, otherwise I'd have included it in my comparison below. 

MAC makes a few different mixing mediums. They're not all deemed safe for use around the eyes, so be sure to check the product descriptions and recommended use info before buying. I think the Face & Body Mixing Medium* creates a creamy texture. I've never used it because it contains sandalwood and orange oils, 2 things I try to keep off my face. So I'm not sure if it's a liquid like Duraline or more of a gel, or a cream/lotion. Now I wonder if my local standalone MAC store carries it... I'll have to investigate out of curiosity. 

*Not to be confused with Studio Face & Body Foundation that's now available only in white, which is useful for lightening other foundation shades. Pretty sure this body foundation line was discontinued and replaced with a new version. 

Here's a quick comparison I did of a few mixing mediums I have on hand: 

Wound up not using MUFE Aqua Seal for this after all.

The MAC Matte Mixing Medium is a thick cream. IIRC, so is the Shine version of this mixing medium—and I'll know for sure once MAC ships it to me. Shine might be more of a balmy texture. 

For fun, here are the 2 Danessa Myricks items used as mixing mediums: 

Magic Set & Seal is very similar to Duraline. Danessa Myricks Beauty Colorfix Eye, Cheek & Lip Cream Pigment Clear has a viscous lipgloss texture, thicker than Duraline but much more liquidy than the MAC Matte medium. It creates a very wet glossy look. To use it on the lids, I highly recommend applying it over a grippy eyeshadow primer to reduce transfer, especially on hooded eyes. 

I left out one of my favorite mixing mediums, Aquaphor Ointment, because I don't use it for eyeshadows. I use it for custom lip and cheek colors. I'm not sure how well a loose pigment + Aquaphor would sit on eyelids, even if applied over a grippy primer.

@WinglessOne Great hauls. The lip GWP is so cute! I am curious what the little Mac jar is in the middle of the pic. The Kur ridge filler sounds amazing. I need to pick a ridge filler up. I will keep this one in mind. Enjoy!

@Mellmars1185  The little MAC jar is their Matte Mixing Medium. It turns powders/pigments into matte cream makeup. 

Hope you like the Londontown ridge filler if you try it! I've tried a few brands' ridge fillers and always come back to this one because it does the best job on my particular nails. There are lots of other options on the market, though.

Thanks @SportyGirly125 ! That case is one of the better freebies MAC's given away in a while, I think. For a couple minutes, I considered attaching a long strap to make it a crossbody. 😄

@WinglessOne that's good to know about the ridge filler.  There's a Kur set on Ulta that I've been eyeing but haven't decided if I'm going to try it or not.

@CookieGirl1  If the set is the Londontown Gel Genius top coat and Grip Lock base coat: I've never tried either of those, surprisingly. I should maybe use some Ulta points to get them, hmm. If you give 'em a go, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Thank you @Loretta55! Everything will most likely be repurchased when they run out except maybe the foundation. It’s a really nice formula and I want to like it, but it’s just a bit on the light side for me, even though it’s the darkest shade.

@ather The formula is really nice but the shade range is only meant for fair or light skin tones. I have the darkest shade and I can make it work right now with some bronzer, but I’m not sure about the summer when my skin tans.
