I broke my lipstick no buy to purchase 3 of these shades online when first released because the shades and finish looked so beautiful! I was not disappointed! Those shades are stunning, pigmented, super shiny, smoothing, and hydrating! Here I’m wearing Riri, a deep rose mauve that emphasizes green eyes! To be honest, I don’t love the smell - they have a weird kind of playdoh smell at first, but it dissipates quickly. I’m obsessed with packaging that is the color of the makeup and it makes it beautiful to display and easy to find the one you want. I am pretty much in love with all of these so far! They are not incredibly long wearing but they last at least a couple hours if you are not eating and drinking a ton. I did purchase these on my own and sharing my honest review here as a Sephora Beauty Insider Community Ambassador.

Oh yes! It’s suuuuuuper creamy and smooth, very pigmented. It helps smooth out an area of my lip that has a big crease and most products do not go on smoothly over it, but this one did! It blends nicely but then it dries down and sets. It works fabulously for overlining - I think because the coverage is so opaque, it really covers the natural lip line. I haven’t done a lengthy wear test but I think it would really stay put. Riri is a deep rose mauve. I want to get MVP now, because I think the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Gloss Bomb Stix High-Shine Gloss Stick The MVP will benefit from a liner. @CookieGirl1

Skinfix Eczema+ Ceramide Hand + Foot Relief Cream 3 fl oz / 90 ml - I loved the old eczema hand cream and recently finished my last backup tube of it, so it’s time to try its replacement. 

Chunks Allie Hair Clips Kelly and Chunks Large Bow Hair Pin Black - I doubt this pin will hold my hair up on its own, but that’s fine since I normally use 2 pins (or 2 hair sticks, or 1 pin + 1 stick) at a time anyway. I do love how long it is. I just hope it doesn’t break in my hair. (Most claw clips break on me, so I stopped using them long ago.) The green clips were too cute to pass up. 

Commodity Juice Personal Eau de Parfum Travel Spray 0.34 oz / 10 ml eau de parfum spray - a blind buy that worked out well. At first spray on my elbow pit, it reminded me a lot of Mugler Alien. Then it quickly morphed into more of a strawberry and raspberry scent with a patchouli base that didn’t overwhelm things. My nose was stuffy the day I wore it, so I’ll have to try it again when I’m able to pick up more scent notes. For now, I like it, especially since it didn’t trigger a headache or migraine like some fruit-forward fragrances do. Now I’m curious enough to sniff the other 2 versions of Juice in-store, if testers are available. 

Freck Beauty Shadow Slide Long Wear H20 Shadow Sticks Algae Babe - no I did not need this (I have similar greens), but I kept going back to look at it and had another “just buy it already” moment. It felt very lightweight and almost wet on my hand, so I expect it to blend out easily. It’ll be fun to play with. 

Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Lift & Flex Hydrating Concealer With Hyaluronic Acid & Caffeine 11 and shade 10 - I ordered 10 to use as a very precise shadow lifter in my tear troughs, but it might be too light a shade for that. I’ll have to test it. I did pop shade 11 under one eye at home for a few hours. That shade’s quite warm toned on me, but it kinda works as a color corrector. If I keep it, I’ll have to make sure not to take it much outside my undereye area or it’ll look obviously yellow orange. I really need to swatch some other shades in person. I will say shade 11 applied well, even though I did no skin prep first (I was just popping it on for shade match purposes, not as a performance test). It’s not crease proof because, well, no concealer is if you have prominent lines like I do. I didn’t powder-set it, so it did eventually pool in some lines. But I’m impressed with how well it moved with my skin during facial expressions. Looking forward to giving it a true performance test. 

BASMA The Cream Blush Mauve - a moment of weakness + trying to resist buying the fuchsia shade. I like the peach shade I bought a short while back, so now it’s mauve’s turn. These blushes are nice because they’re easy to sheer out and build up, plus they’re a good size and shape for travel. 

ROSE INC Cream Blush Refillable Cheek & Lip Color Delphine - an in-store swatch convinced me that this peachy shade might work as a color corrector on my cheeks and elsewhere. I love my other Rose Inc. cream blushes and I’m still a bit bummed to see the brand disappearing (I know it’s been acquired, but Rosie’s departure due to not liking the new brand direction does not bode well for the brand’s future). It was nice to get half off the price of this blush, though. 

SEPHORA COLLECTION About That Shine Lacquer Shine Lipstick 06 Electric Spectrum and shade Explosive Touch - my swatch photo makes Electric Spectrum look more pink than coral, but I’m too physically tired to redo swatches. Both shades swatched well. They’re not super high-shine glossy in person, but they are glossier than my photo implies. 

ILIA Lip Sketch Hydrating Lipstick + Lip Liner Crayon Rhyme - my second shade of these crayons. I’m still not over the strong pencil shavings smell, but at least they don’t smell that way for long on my lips. These crayons aren’t as creamy comfy as my beloved Lipstick Queen Cupid’s Bow crayons, but they feel pleasant enough. Definitely less of a matte finish than Pat McGrath’s new crayons, but not a Cupid’s Bow replacement. NARS’s Powermatte crayons are closer to LQ’s, actually. Geez, I should do a ranking of various lip crayons soon. 😂 

Ulta & Paula’s Choice:

Finally used some of my hoarded 11k+ Ulta points to pay $0 out of pocket for everything. Not pictured: a 2nd PC Niacinamide and a bag of Shiseido cotton squares.

Paula's Choice 10% Niacinamide Booster 0.67 oz/ 20 mL (1 of 2 pictured in photo) - a frequent restock. Funny: ever since It’s Skin ruined reformulated their hydrating licorice root serum, I’ve searched for a replacement. But the replacement’s been right in front of me all this time: this Paula’s Choice serum contains licorice root (though probably not as much as It’s Skin’s serum) and hydrators, plus ubiquinone (CoQ10) as a bonus. 

Paula’s Choice Gentle Touch Makeup Remover - another restock. Still the best stubborn eye makeup remover for me.

Paula’s Choice GWP: full sizes of Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 6% Mandelic Acid + 2% Lactic Acid Liquid Exfoliant and Paula's Choice RESIST Advanced Replenishing Toner with Hyaluronic Acid 4 oz/ 118 mL 

NARS Total Seduction Eyeshadow Stick Adults Only and Fated - I still have some of NARS’s old shadow sticks. Based on my hand swatches, I assume these new ones are an updated formula that’ll apply more evenly and blend out better. The old sticks weren’t bad overall, but some were patchy. I’m glad Ulta has shade Faded so I could get it (and Adults Only) with points. 

Shiseido Super-Soft, 100% Natural Facial Cotton 165 sheets (not pictured in my photo) - like Ulta’s dupe cotton pads, I usually cut these in half to use with nail polish remover. I prefer Shiseido’s because they hold together better than Ulta’s.

PATTERN by Tracee Ellis Ross Curl Gel Crème 25 oz/ 740 mL - restocking again. 

e.l.f. Sun Boss Gloss SPF 25 shade That’s My Jam - I’m testing it at home right now and have worn it for an hour so far. It was dang near opaque in a single coat, but I did 2 coats for good measure. Nicely glossy, minimally sticky at application, fragrance-free and scentless: no SPF smell or bitter taste. (The UV filter is zinc oxide.) I can feel it on my lips but it’s not a thick heavy smother, so it’s tolerable. I didn’t notice any feathering until the 30 minute mark, and it’s just a wee bit on the right side of my bottom lip, undetectable without a magnifying mirror. I applied it without an Aquaphor base and my lips aren’t parched—eh, not yet anyway. The more tea I drink, the sticker this gloss gets and the more it wears down, which I expect from glosses that aren’t Lancôme L’Absolu Lacquers. Otherwise, I think I like this one. Gotta give it a full day’s test to be sure. 

Adults Only will be a nice brightening shade for my eyes.

COSRX sale:

The grey thing is a GWP headband. Keeping it wrapped in plastic for now because I plan to gift it away. Not pictured: a 2nd foam dispenser.

Low pH Niacinamide Micellar Cleansing Water - a restock, after testing 3/4 of a bottle against my usual Bioderma Sensibio H2O and finding COSRX’s removes more makeup and dirt.

2 foam dispensers (only 1’s shown in my photo) - an unexpected gift from COSRX to use with their micellar water. I’m starting to understand why some folks are obsessed with micellar foam. 😅 It’s easier to not over-dispense than its original liquid form, and it feels like wiping my face with clouds. Think I’ll put Bioderma Sensibio in the other foamer.

Pure Fit Cica Cream Intense - a restock. I reserve this stuff for bad reaction days and red itchy flareups anywhere on my face and body. Centella asiatica’s one of a few ingredients that usually calm my skin down to a tolerable state.

AC Collection Acne Patch - restocking my favorite acne patches. Unlike COSRX’s other acne dots, these contain cica.

Pure Fit Cica Toner - finally trying this. My facial skin’s been a fan of the Pure Fit Cica Serum for a few years. I figure the toner may work well on my body skin, so I won’t need to run through so many small bottles of serum.

The 6 Peptide Skin Booster Serum - another product I’ve meant to test. It probably won’t replace my bffs The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + HA Serum 2 oz / 60 mL and The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + Copper Peptides 1% Serum , but curiosity demands I try it anyway. 

MAC:

As if I wasn’t going to buy any of these. 😄

40 Lipstick Bringbacks shades Double Shot, Up The Amp, Chintz, and Haku - The first 2 shades are Amplifieds, the other 2 are Frosts. Had to doublecheck my MAC lipsticks to make sure I didn’t still have any of these—though if I did, it’d probably be best to replace ‘em anyway due to age. 😅 (I tend to hold onto lipsticks for, um, a very long time. I do occasionally check them for spoilage.) Some of MAC’s Frost shades work very well as solo lip colors, while others do best as toppers unless you want a sheer lip. Haku’s more of a topper shade. Chintz will do well on its own. I’m thrilled to have ‘em both. 

I ordered all 4 of these online the day of release (er, re-release since these are old reintroduced shades), before the release announcement email went out, thinking “haHA, I’m gonna beat the rush to get these!” A few minutes after order completion, I got the dreaded “item cancelled” email from MAC about the 2 Frost shades. While picking up my Sephora BOPIS order, I ducked into my local standalone MAC store and they had a few of each Bringback shade in stock, hooray! The 2 sales associates said I’d visited the store at the best time: I was the only customer and they were very close to selling out of Haku. 

This is another swatch photo I’d retake if I had the energy. Eh, you’ll get the gist.

Sonia G. Summer Koi brush set - yeeeaaah, I caved. These brushes were better packaged inside their box than the Summer Cranes brushes were: none of my 4 Kois are badly misshapen. 👍

Smith Cosmetics 214 Spoolie Brush - wanted to buy this back when I bought a few other Smith brushes, but it was OOS. Never underestimate the power of a good spoolie brush. I like the length of this one, and that it’s angled. 

BeautySoClean Conditioning Brush Cleanser - restocking the other “between true washings” spray cleanser I often use. 

Anna Sui:

• Nail Color SW shade 03 - sure, why not try Anna’s magnetic polish? It comes with a patterned magnet that’s completely useless. A lot of patterned magnets are too weak to pull the metal bits in magnetic polishes, so I should’ve known this one wouldn’t work. The polish itself is a bronze shade with a soft silvery white pull. And of course it’s fragranced because Anna likes to floral-perfume all her beauty products. Really wish she’d stop doing that, but it’s not too strong in this polish. 
  
  
• Perfect Eyeliner shade 002 - a metallic blue liquid eyeliner. It’s very pretty but why, Anna, does my eyeliner need to be fragranced? WHY. Not sure my eyelid skin will tolerate it because of the fragrance components, but I’ll fine out soon. I should also swatch-compare it to Violette_FR’s sparkly blue liquid shadow, though I’m pretty sure that one’s a deeper blue shade.

Oh good grief @WinglessOne I want so much of your lovely amazing wonderful haul!! Oooof!! The brushes! The Sephora lips! I’ve not tried those yet. I wondered how many of the MAC you’d get! 😆 I really love the Ilia lip crayons. A lot. Have so much fun! They all look great on you as always! 💞
