Typology Hydrating Serum

Initial Take: Another timely placed product in the advent calendar with my normal-to-dry skin historically leaning more dry as we inch further into winter. This hydrating serum has a slight viscosity to it, not nearly as thick as The Ordinary hyaluronic acid serum but not runny like the Dr. Dennis Gross marine hyaluronic acid serum.

I applied the serum to one side of my face this morning after doing a patch test late last night, underneath my current morning moisturizer on that same side of the face; the other side of my face has a varying mix of products from the advent calender in different sections of my face, for testing purposes. 🤣

@itsfi I still haven't tried anything from Typology and I've hardly heard anyone talk about them outside of influencers.  Is there anything that you've tried from them that you'd recommend?

@CookieGirl1, there have been a handful of things that have been a good fit for me from the brand. One is their lip peeling serum which was one of the items I included (and ended up finishing) in this year's Pan It! - 2025 Challenge and another is their lip oil, though you may not find the lip oil to be thick or cushiony enough for your liking. I first picked up one early last year maybe even late 2023 and have been picking up a different shade periodically since. It's nice to see that it's getting ore traction, including with influencers on social media more recently. I've been to different events (non beauty events) and have seen a few women (of different ages, in different industrie, within different demographics, etc.) pull out the brand's lip oil and that' been fun and interesting to see - and to have a conversation about!

Lol, I'm trying to isolate different parts of my face for different products so if I have a negative reaction (or a really good reponse to a product for that matter) that I'll know what is causing it! 😆 There's only so much space on my face though @ather!! 😂🤣😂 It's a good thing the Rhode Barrier Butter has been keeping my skin in good shape (and that the breakout isues I was having seems to be settlng down - knock on wood eek!) So far, everything is working out pretty well. I just need to find some time to catch up with my posts and unboxings.

I've not heard of this brand before but a hyaluronic acid serum is great for this time of year.

@itsfi This looks like a great day!  I feel like even if a product like this isn't loved on your face they can always become hand or decollate serums.

💯 @missjeanie ! I feel like with these Typology products, at least the ones I’ve used from the advent calendar, it’d be an extra special treat for my hands, feet, etc. if I were to repurpose anything 😆 So far, the formulation on everything has been 👍🏻

@caitbird, this advent calendar has been a good one for me so far, which is in keeping with how other things I’ve used from the brand have performed. There’s just so many hydrating serums out there so we’ll see how this ends up ranking.

Typology Day 2

9-Ingredient Face Moisturizer

Initial Take: Light-medium consistency lotion; seems like it might be better suited for normal-to-combo skin types, maybe even oily skin types in the winter months. So far though, it's been fine in the mornings even on the most dry parts of my face. We'll see how it holds up over the next few days mornings and evenings, at least on one side of my face.

Typology Day 3

Serum for Dark Circles and Bags

Well, well, well, seems like the good folks at Typology knew just what I needed ... before I even knew I would need such a serum. Slightly viscous but not at all heavy, the blunt tip on the pipette allows for just a dot sized amount of the serum to be dispensed at a time - it's actually quite effective in that it reduces the likelihood of too much product being dispensed and wasted.

Pleasantly surprised with how this wore on its own and under makeup. At first, I applied this just on one side of my face. I noticed pretty quickly the difference in how brighter the side with the serum look compared to the side without the serum. If I don't notice any irritation in my undereye tomorrow morning I will apply this serum to both sides of my face. Some claim noticeably improved results in 4 weeks and I'm interested to see how well those claims hold up. Looks promising so far.

Very much looking forward to seeing how this performs over time.

And I'm all caught up and on track with unboxing.

@This one took me by surprise @ather. In a good way. So far, so good. I’ve been trying out a few different ways to see how it works best for me and I’ve been happy with how it’s performed!
