What is the best gift for someone turning 16?

Birthday gifts. I’m not that into makeup and was just wondering. Something sweet and simple.

A good workhorse palette with keystone colors for daily use is a great idea if you know her favorite brand. If you're not sure of her favorite brand, then a large beauty sampler box with some deluxe makeup samples would be a good idea or deluxe skincare sampler box. Getting her to start good skincare habits early is honestly the most important thing! Happy holidays. ❤️

@Jengray1205 If I were turning 16 I’d probably want something from Fenty, Urban Decay, Huda, or Benefit! From Fenty I’d choose a highlighter or lipgloss (there are a couple sets with both available now), from UD, I think I’d love one of the Naked Palettes, and same from Huda, one of her Obsessions palettes (I currently have my eye on HUDA BEAUTY Nude Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette Nude Medium  in Medium), or a lip set, and I think anything from Benefit would be a good bet! Either a cheek palette or a set with a few products. Benefit makes great cheek products, mascara, and brow products.

Depends on your budget. I think a lot of teens are into Jeffree Star stuff. There is also Urban Decay and of course Benefit, Tarte and Too Faced. For more reasonably priced options I would look into the Morphe and Sephora brands. Sephora Favorites are great for putting together trial kits of everything from perfumes to lashes and mascaras, lipsticks/balms/gloss and skin care products. But the teens always want the popular brands that gear their marketing toward that age bracket. If you are wanting to get her something super special for her sweet sixteen I'd turn to the YouTube beauty community and the influencers and see what are the HOT brands geared toward that age bracket right now.

When my daughter and nieces were that age they loved getting the Sephora favorites perfume and lash stash sets @Jengray1205.
