Just turned 40 - skincare

So I just turned 40 and I have forehead lines, crows feet etc .. typical signs of aging. 

I have used the Sephora collection of skincare recently (eye cream, viti c serum etc) 

is this good for someone my age? Is there another brand I should be using? I hate all this stuff - but I hate aging more.. haha.  I have attached a photo for reference 

any help will be gratefully appreciated!!

@JodiA65 @I just turned 40 this year too. I don’t find the Sephora collection skincare products that great for my skin type but everyone is different. Do you use sunscreen everyday or retinol?

@JodiA65 @Highly recommend sunscreen everyday not only on the face but the neck and body. Also with retinol you want to start slow. I would use it once and see how your skin reacts before incorporating it every couple of days and then applying it more frequently. If you can afford it you can also get botox for the forehead.

I agree- SPF 30-50 every single day on any part of your skin that will be exposed to the sun is really important. I wear spf 50 on my fae everyday of the year and sometimes I use a combination of a moisturizer that has SPF and also a light foundation. SPF 30 more in the winter. But using SPF daily is going to matter almost more than anything else you can do that is preventative for aging of the skin. Also try to keep in mind that a lot of how we age is genetic so somethings are out of our control. So look at your family members (if you are genetically related to them) and see how they have aged, that will tell you a lot.

What retinol do you recommend? 

im so scared to try Botox!

@JodiA65 @I would try to get samples before buying the full size. I use the one from Leahlani skincare and StriVectin Super-C Retinol Brighten & Correct Vitamin C Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL
