I've been meaning to post about home fragrance in forever, so here's a thread dedicated to candles, sprays, diffuser blends, incense or however else you are scenting your home 🙂

My favourite way of scenting my space is to customize my own diffuser blends but I do like a candle now and then. I love the way the Boy Smells candles look but I have to admit I'm not impressed. The throw isn't great and the wick is slanted so that the candle isn't burning evenly! It smells soooo good though ❤️

A recent candle that I enjoyed: Nest Autumn Plum.

Brand description: "This fall candle captures the sweet, woody aroma of freshly fallen autumn leaves with wild plum and cinnamon wrapped in the warmth of patchouli leaf and cashmere wood."

I got this one last year as part of a set of 3 fall candles from Nest - Autumn Plum, Pistachio & Wild Fig, and Pumpkin Chai. I ended up liking the other two a bit more than this one, but they were all really good.

I've been wanting to buy a candle warmer since I'm leery of leaving candles lit for long. Any recommendations?

@makeitup305 I just got mine from Wal-Mart or Amazon, it does take a long while for big candles to heat up.

@Samtian ok, thanks, good to know. They've currently got a ton at my Marshalls and I wasn't sure if some were better than others.

Working on my Pan projects for next year, I remembered this thread and decided to take photos of what I have. I use candle warmers and wax melters. For the wax melts, I seperate mine from Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter so these are the F/W plus the extra Yankee Candles I have.

The bottom row and the larger red above the last BBW have not been used yet.

Nest Pistachio & Wild Fig Candle

Brand description: Inspired by autumn's indulgent flavors, this fragrance features a rich and creamy blend of pistachio and wild fig harmoniously blended with the warmth of dark rum and maple sugar.

This is definitely a gourmand scent, but I don't really pick up any of the stated notes. That said, this smells ... delicious! 😍 It has a sweet, refined cocoa, chocolately scent (with a slight hint of nuttiness perhaps where the pistachio comes in but it doesn't feel pistachio to me) that smells wonderful - the throw on this, both cold out of the box and when lit is strong. I haven't seen it hit Sephora yet; am hoping it may make an appearance around the Holiday Savings Event, or possibly before the end of the year. It also blends nicely with Nest Autumn Plum - the fruitiness of the plum candle gives it more of an autumnal feel. 

Tagging @caitbird, as she picked up the Nest trio set of autumn candles including this Pistachio & Fig, Autumn Plum and NEST New York Pumpkin Chai Candle. caitbird, wondering if you picked up any of the notes in the brand's description for this candle - pistachio, wild fig, dark rum, maple sugar?

@itsfi  thanks for the tag! With this one, I definitely did get the maple sugar, as well as some nuttiness (pistachio maybe?), but I'm not sure about the fig or the rum. 🤔 That could be partly due to my nose not being sensitive enough to pick up every individual note, though. In any case, it's a delicious gourmand scent, and one I've been really enjoying!

The weather outside hasn't been super consistent with springtime feels but the fresh, bright, citrus and honeyed floral blend of the NEST New York Sunlit Yuzu & Neroli Candle has been adding some springtime vibes inside the house. 💛 I've been a fan of Nest's Wellness line and this new addition to that collection did not dissapoint. I started out with the mini 2.0 size and picked up this full size during the most recent sale. Cold throw and when lit are very good - one of the stronger scented candles from thie line.

@itsfi  this is one of the votives I picked up recently and I'm excited to try it! All of the votives I got from Nest have really strong cold throw (even still boxed!) and smell really good, so I have high hopes.

I first spied the Kerzon Jardin du Luxembourg in a small boutique while at a farmer's market. I was instantly drawn to the clean, minimalist aesthetic of the jar, the simple, calming and pretty shade of the green jar, and its name - Jardin du Luxembourg. I did not get a chance to visit the Jardin du Luxembourg when I was in Paris oh these many, many years ago, but, it is on my list if I have an opportunity to go back. 

The cold throw on this candle smelled like a fresh bouquet of flowers when I went in for an initial smell. The strength of the throw was neither too soft nor too overwhelming. I think it was probably the 4th, maybe 5th, time after I kept circling back to the bookcase in the store where this candle was perched, that I decided that maybe I should purchase it. I'm glad I did. 

The throw when lit is ... lovely. What comes to mind is a French garden in the spring. It's definitely a floral scent, but it's not a common one, at least not to my nose. There's a lightness to the floral notes - soft, slightly powdery, with a delicate, green freshness to it. I loved walking out of the room only to walk back in shortly thereafter just to pick up that delightful scent. Makes me want to take a walk in a French garden.
