Sephoria 2024…..will be in Atlanta, Georgia. Who will be attending this year?  I won’t be able to make it again this year 😔

SEPHORiA is a global annual rendezvous specially created to celebrate the world of beauty. Starting in Atlanta (Sept 27-28th), in person events will also take place in Paris (Oct 4-5th), Shanghai (Oct 24-27th), and new locations Rio de Janeiro (Nov 1-3rd) and Dubai (Nov 6-8th).

So glad you had a chance to go to the aquarium - that's such a cool photo you took. At first, I just scrolled through the pics without reading the captions and thought it was part of SEPHORiA - I kept thinking "where was that?!!!" That photo looks like it should be framed.

I liked the Makeup by Mario giveaways, the Laneige had a neat game with cool giveaways (i ended up getting the workout bands), the Lacroix bag and waterbottle are so cute and the Charlotte Tilbury was a great giveaway/ prize. There are so many to pick from. Ohh and I can't forget the Danessa Myricks booth!

The Aquarium was a great place to visit. It was calming and there were so many things to see ☺️. I am missing Atlanta and all of you already!

Sephoria 2024!

The Fab:

I loved Atlanta, I think additional shoutouts to the staff that ran and set up the event are necessary, because 99% of my interactions were fantastic.  Also, Atlanta just seems like a nice, chill place to visit, wish I got to explore more, that muppet museum looks awesome!

The Friggin' Fantastic:

As noted, I got Danessa Myricks Beauty LIGHTWORK VI The Freedom Palette: Magnetic, Customizable, Stackable Palette w...  at the Masterclass.  Unreal, unreal.  I was really keen on just telling Danessa the fabulousness I get fromDanessa Myricks Beauty Groundwork: Defining Neutrals - Palette For Eyes, Brows, Face & Lips , so I am as just as obsessed with this palette now.

The Fenty Hair Masterclass - I was wondering how a Masterclass with hair was going to play out.  I loved it.  They had a curly hair model and a straight hair model, with both pros giving out tips and tricks as they went along. I also saw a rep that I saw at the Harlem Store opening!  That was cool. I am psyched to get some use out of Fenty Beauty by Rihanna The Comeback Kid Instant Damage Repair Hair Treatment 5 oz / 150 ml with Fenty Beauty by Rihanna The Rich One Moisture Repair Shampoo 10 oz / 300 ml

I missed out of getting a perk facial\treatment, but I was happy to see the service and hope it pops up again at a future sephoria.

Getting to hug and wax poetic about products to a few brand founders like Diarrha N'Diaye-Mbaye (Ami Colé), Chris Collins (world of Chris Collins), Akash Mehta (Fable & Mane) and of course, Danessa Myricks.

The Brands working the booth - Except for one (pattern, whyyyyyy), most people were giving decent goodies and great energy.  Also, I am very happy with some of the items I got, such as Danessa Myricks Beauty Infinite Chrome Flakes Multichrome Gel for Eyes & Face infinite chrome bi-pri... and Farmacy Brighten Up 3% TXA Dark Spot Toner with Azelaic Acid 4 oz / 120 mL and the fun chotski's like a very sparkly Urban Decay mirror, face gems (bindi) from Fable & Mane, heart shades from Kay Ali and a glass water bottle from LaCroix that survived the flight back home.

Also, some of the sponsors, I am a fan of Liquid Death's Arnold Palmer's now.  So tasty.

They had lots of carnival games and a Tarot reader!  I liked my reading, she was very much like, "control your destiny" vs the cards only mean this, so maybe that's not how it typically goes.  It was different, but fun.

And of course @ElleElleG , @gonerogue , @missjeanie , @itsfi , @faeriegirl , @sister13 , @heartsmyface , @Mellmars1185 , all fabulousness, all the time and @TeamBIC wish y'all were there

The Not so Fab:

All in all, I loved Sephoria, but I wouldn't be me if I didn't share some observations.

I need more creatively themed booths, the booths were gorgeous, but missing something this year.  I took fewer photos this time around, and when I thought about it, there weren't a ton of photo ops I was swooning over. I think Farmacy, K18, Danessa, Ami Colé and Maison Margiela had the most interesting ones IMO, but in comparison to other Sephorias, I was a little disappointed.

Merch!  I would love some merch at the event, or even the opportunity to buy holiday releases.

The lines -- this is to be expected, but it got out of hand and kind of nerfed the experience, I can't imagine that in 3 hours, if you had 4 brands you really wanted to see that you could get to all of them, enjoy your time there and do a service or a masterclass.

@danielledanielle I was sooooo soooo happy to get to spend more time with you this year!  I don't think I'll ever forget that Danessa masterclass and watching you fall out of your chair when you won the new palette!  I even thought of you today as I applied a little sparkle from the Lightworks 5 this morning... I could hear you saying... just add a little colour... just a little!
