What is better: white eyelash adhesive or black eyelash adhesive?

Hey guys! I'm new to fake lashes and I'm kind of confused on what kind of adhesive to get. Is it better to get black or white? What is the difference between the two?

I have someone apply my lashes for me so whatever glue I have doesn’t matter to me as long as they get them on securely! But for me falsies are for times I want to look especially fancy for an event or photos which makes it easy to just go get my makeup all done at Sephora - or the MUA hired for the day by a photographer. Then all I have to do is my hair and show up. Some like the white glue, I think the dark glue can be easier to conceal with a smokey eye look though, so it really can depend on the finished look and how precise it has to be so the lashes don’t look wonky after everything is done (light eyeshadow in high shine reflective finishes like satins, glitters and metallics are going to need extra care with false lash applications or it looks weird and by then you are at the point where it’s a lot to go back and redo to fix). 

I know some wear wear false lashes more often but it’s a lot of work and I prefer letting a pro do mine on the infrequent basis I actually think they need to be part of the overall look - I’m usually not that done up for the day to day makeup thing though.

I use white every day no problem! the only thing I don't care for is if you get too much in one place it'll dry shiny. my sister prefers black and I can't see hers.

I would have to agree with the ladies who suggested the white adhesive. It dries clear so mistakes will be less obvious. Just the thought of using black adhesive scares me because I haven’t mastered the art of the falsies lol props to those who use it!

The white technically dries clear so I find it easier to work with that way no matter what your eye look it dries clear if you mess up a little. Before you apply it though let it dry for like 10 seconds so the glue gets tacky and you have an easier application! And don't forget to measure your lashes before you glue them on ☺️

Hi Sinthusha,

There's not a huge difference between white/clear and black eyelash adhesive! You won't see the glue once it dries, however, from my experience, if you apply too much of the white/clear adhesive, you'll see it on your eyelid/eyelash. If you're new to applying false lashes, I'd suggest going with the black eyelash glue!

Actually, I'd suggest the opposite. If you're new, you probably can't get your lashes 100% right on the first stick. If you mess up, the black glue will end up all over your eyelid. I'm new-ish to falsies and I use the clear Tarte lash glue. Cruelty free, nice quality, and only $9. I cut my strips into 3 pieces to make it easier, but I still can't work with black glue yet.
