Magnetic False Eyelashes?

Has anyone seen the Facebook ads for the magnetic eyelashes? Has anybody tried them? I am still struggling with using falsies. I'm a nightmare with glue and have slightly better success with self adhesives. Magnetic would be the BOMB if they actually look nice and WORK!

Re: Magnetic False Eyelashes?

I just started wearing them and so far I am very happy. I've worn them twice & need a little more practice. I haven't tried false eyelashes, but have tried lash extensions (ya Groupon) and prefer the magnetic ones, cheaper, less time consuming and no shedding.

Re: Magnetic False Eyelashes?

Magnetic IS the BOMB!!! About a month ago, I don’t know why, but about a million different ones just showed up on Amazon. They are amazing! I wear them to work every day! You put in your mascara, then put on the top lash, open your eye as wide as you can, put the other lash underneath your eyelashes and CLICK! They’re on! And there are a lot of them that are not expensive! Do NOT buy the $60-$90 OneTwo brand which came out a year or so ago. Way overpriced.

The only thing is that I’ve struggled with is that I’ve found plenty of sets that look and work great, but they only cover the outer half of the eye. I’ve bought several types of ‘full’ magnetic lashes, some have two magnets, some three, so far, all are longer than your eye is (and you’re limited as to how much you can trim off because of the magnets), and they just look wonky. If anyone finds a good set of full magnetic lashes, that’s what I’m looking for and haven’t found.

But the shorter ones? They look like they’re full length in the ads, but they’re not. Still yet, they’re AMAZING! Easy to apply, easy to remove, no glue, and they look great. It would be nice if Sephora here would jump on this bandwagon and have them available, because there are SO MANY on Amazon (all appeared seemingly overnight, all with hundreds of stellar yet unverified reviews; it’s getting easier to see which ones are good and which aren’t, but in the beginning, they all had the same pictures, descriptions, and it was a guessing game).

If you are reading this and haven’t checked out these since about September 2017, they are the wave of the future. Just let me know if you find a great set of full length (across the whole eyelid) ones that work. That’s my new hunt.

Yes!  Love them as well. Don’t get the tops and bottoms stuck together. Lol. They are tough to pull apart.

Re: Magnetic False Eyelashes?

I did recently try them. I thought they looked good in pictures but I can see how they can seem a bit tacky at times however it also totally depends on the event. I did however like the fact that they were super easy to put on. I agree that I'm definitely seeing a lot more ads for them now. There are lots of good articles online for reviews.

Re: Magnetic False Eyelashes?

@Anonymous  Thanks for the link to that review! I'll stay on the lookout for ones without the drawbacks that the reviewer mentioned. I'm sure there is more than one company that makes them. But for now I'll keep practicing with the motherload of drugstore ones that I have. I'll update if I ever get the magnetic ones!!!!

Re: Magnetic False Eyelashes?

The magnetic lashes are actually Terrible and very expensive. They are hard to apply, they can pinch your eyelid and they are short and not very glamorous. I recommend using clear duo glue on regular demi wispie lashes if you are a lash novice. They sell the duo glue at Sephora.

Re: Magnetic False Eyelashes?

@Glazed  Thanks for the feedback!!! The Whispies are one of my favorites! And I've used the duo lash glue and I just make a mess. I tried a different one I found on Amazon that had an applicator brush and it was a little better. The Self adhesive lashes I found were the Whispies and I had much better luck with those, but it's still a learning curve. I really wanted the magnetic ones to be awesome because I thought they would be dork ( me) proof! I guess I'll keep practicing with the glue and self adhesive strips from Ardell that I found online.  The saga continues.......

Re: Magnetic False Eyelashes?

The magnetic lashes work for some but not for others. I read the reviews that the previous user added and the one thing the lady didn't do was curve/bend them. They recommend you bend and curve them to the shape of your eyes before even putting them on. They have that flexibility. Unfortunately for me, I cannot use the glue or any kind of adhesive so I am playing around with the magnetic ones. So far so good. A friend has them as well and they look AMAZING on her.

Re: Magnetic False Eyelashes?

Thank you for your honest review @Glazed! I thought this seemed very gimmicky, but as someone who really struggles with falsies I was considering giving this a shot. Glad I didn't!
