Looking for a natural looking mascara.

My lashes are long and have enough volume, so I’m looking for a mascara that just darkens my lashes and doesn’t clump. Any recommendations?

Looking for a natural looking mascara.

I have black and long stick-straight lashes. My friends have mistaken my natural lashes for mascara. This is what has worked for me. I always use Urban Decay Subversion lash primer because of my oily eye area. I liked Maybelline Mega Plush for days when I wanted a very natural look. It was my ride or die since it first released years ago, until two years ago. My lashes look darker and that's about it. I now use Buxom Lash Mascara. Buxom definitely gives more of a mascara look, but it's still natural looking and light-weight when compared to many other formulas. I prefer Buxom over Maybelline because the Maybelline tube dries out way faster. When the Maybelline tube starts to dry out, the mascara will start to flake during the day. I get under 3 months use with Maybelline and my Buxom has lasted me 7 months so far with no obvious signs of drying out yet. Another "natural" mascara for me is Tarte Tarteist Lashpaint. I get over a year's use with one tube... not the hygenic ideal by the slightest lol but it just doesnt go bad on me. I have a hard time with the Tarte wand though; I always manage to poke my eyes with it. Tarte is a very black formula that is rather obvious on most people. Because my lashes are very dark and long, Tarte doesn't look like much on me.

Re: Looking for a natural looking mascara.

@haveagoodday  Glossier Lash Slick might work well for you. It’s a tubing mascara with a small flexible brush. True to Glossier’s “you but better” philosophy, it gives me a very natural look: barely any length or volume, just a lifted and darkened effect. My lashes aren’t naturally long or voluminous, but I assume Lash Slick wouldn’t overemphasize your lashes, especially if you stop at a single coat.

I rarely wear Lash Slick because it makes my eyes feel weird sometimes. My eyeballs hate most mascaras, so I’m not surprised. If you have no sensitivity to most mascaras, you might be fine with this one.

Hi @haveagoodday,

I also have naturally long lashes (lucky for us!), so I don't look for mascaras that add length. However, if I want a soft, natural lash look, I really enjoy the ILIA - Limitless Lash Mascara.

Stay Gorgeous,

Penelope

Re: Looking for a natural looking mascara.

If you're not looking for anything in particular, I'd honestly stick with a drugstore mascara; there are so many good ones out there! My absolute favorite everyday mascara is CoverGirl Clump Crusher, because it's true to its name. It provides lovely definition, and you can apply many coats without any clumping.
