@lizburstein I totally agree with @cianni I would add I really like the  Tatcha The Pearl Tinted Eye Illuminating Treatment Moonlight It really helps with minimizing dark circles and it works as a concealer as well!!

@lizburstein I would definitely take a two step approach: from a skincare perspective and a makeup perspective. For skincare, definitely use an eye cream. For the daytime, I like the CLINIQUE - Pep-Start Eye Creamor the OLEHENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crèmeto help brighten up the area. At night, definitely keep the area hydrated! I use LANEIGE - Eye Sleeping Maskffor overnight hydration. As for makeup, if they’re really pronounced, start with a color corrector. Depending on your skin tone, use a peach or orange color corrector for the darkness, and a green for the redness. I usually use the SEPHORA COLLECTION - Bright Future Color Correctors, or the Smashbox Color Correcting Stick Look Less Tired (Light) . Finally, use a good concealer that won’t cake up under that, like the First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Bendy Avocado Concealer 1 Bone . The avocado is hydrating and nourishing. Hope this helps!

I read somewhere that using too much retinol can make your undereyes look brown, are you using anything like that?

I'd agree with that a two part approach would be good, though I'm not sure what specific products to recommend for the skincare side of it. I've heard some people swears by cucumbers (for hydration/vitamins) and sometimes our theatre crowd used cold spoons before makeup. Supposedly the cold shrinks the veins making blue tones less noticeable. Caffeine has a similar effect, so you could try one of the creams that have that, but that's a temporary fix.

For concealment, I've found Tarte's marucuja creaseless undereye concealer to be great for me (very blue/purple undereye partly because my skin is translucent pale), and is supposed to improve the skin there over time, but it can look oily or shiny on some. It doesn't on me but it does on my mom, who has olive skin.
