Best products for dry, textured skin?

I suffer from dry, textured skin. As a result, my foundation tends to stiffen when applied to my face and cling to patches. I would like skincare that would make my face products glide better over the skin.  I also want to know what you guys do to minimize the appearance of sebum on my nose.

Highly recommend using Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel. Universal or extra strength. Use one before you do your makeup (or your skin routine). They get rid of dry patches, texture, uneven skin tone, etc. They're amazing exfoliators and make your skin really smooth

Would you consider your skin to be combo? I have combo skin that leans on the dryer side around this time of year. I usually use a very good moisturizer (Drunk Elephant Lala Retro) and then a more balancing slightly oil control primer (like Urban Decay Optical Illusion primer). That way my skin is getting the moisture it needs, but the overall finish will not be too oily. I wrote about additional tips that help to improve foundation application that you might find useful. https://www.beautybythebooks.com/single-post/2017/11/01/Tips-for-a-Flawless-Foundation-Application

I also have dry skin and still in a progress of minimizing blackheads but so far I smoothed it down pretty well. In my skincare routine, I cleanse, exfoliate, tone, and moisturize.

I start out with oil cleansers then exfoliation. Tatcha's rice enzyme exfoliator is the most gentle and effective exfoliator that smoothes out the skin squeaky clean. Tone it with COSRX Galactomyces alcohol-free toner. This picks up any remaining oil/dirt and helps with skin turnover. Finally, moisturize withTatcha's Silk Cream. They absorb quickly and you don't need to apply a lot of product.

My nose still shows little sebum, but it's completely soft and smooth!
