Advice on New Eyeshadow Palette

Hey everyone! I am looking for a new eyeshadow palette! I have the naked 1 & 2 and am looking for something different! I have a look that I basically always do no matter the occasion and it's time I start switching it up! So please send your advice to me! Pictures of looks you do with the palette would be super helpful as well! I am very new to beauty insider, also if you have any good recommendations on primers that would be awesome as well! 😁

RE: Advice on New Eyeshadow Palette

Personally my favorite and go to palettes are Modern Renaissance pallets , and also the Jaclyn Hill palette! I feel like with both of those palettes you can go with an everyday look or do something bold when you want to be different .

Hi @Anonymous,

I really like the tarte Tartelette in Bloom Palette. You can create a wide variety of looks with it from soft to sultry! The "luster" shades are so pigmented and the mattes blend well.

I hope this helps!

Best Wishes,

Janean

Re: Advice on New Eyeshadow Palette

Colourpop came out with the 12 pan 'Give it to me Straight' palette - I think it's beautiful with a good combo of mattes and metallics.  Only $16.00, which is good for someone looking to experiment with other shades not accustomed to.  These aren't far from neutral, but definitely different than Naked 1 & 2.  Also, these shades would look great for the upcoming spring season and honestly could be used year-round.  Give It To Me Straight Pressed Powder Eyeshadow Palette

If you're looking for a smaller, travel palette, I've been using the Tarteist Pro to Go Palette.  They have others 6 pan variations, too.  I like it because I find that I only use 2-3 shadows on the daily, it's slim and easy to put in my makeup bag.

I love the Makeup Geek eyeshadows . They are good quality and very affordable. They have a couple eyeshadow palettes or you can buy singles.

Advice on New Eyeshadow Palette

I agree with @flyte. I have the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette and it's one of my favorites. I used to wear the Urban Decay Naked Palette everyday, so the bold colors and pigment of Modern Renaissance were a bit intimidating at first. After some practice, I have found a few fierce looks that I try my best to imitate. I just bought the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette a couple of days ago. I haven't had a chance to wear it yet, so the only opinion I can really offer is that the colors are pretty and it smells nice. I would recommend Modern Renaissance or Sweet Peach if you are looking for something really different from Naked and Naked 2. The prices are pretty comparable too. In terms of primers, I swear by Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion for the eyes and I'm still searching for the perfect face primer. I hope this input helps in some way 🙂 This is my go-to look with Modern Renaissance:

Re: Advice on New Eyeshadow Palette

Since those are both neutrals, one warm and one cooler toned, you could always try going into the berries 🙂

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance is a very popular one and includes warm neutrals and berry colors. They also have a palette currently on sale called Prism that is more jewel toned colored.

You could go with a palette full of colorful metallics to supplement your Naked palettes too. There's the Urban Decay Heavy Metals which has an amazing variety of colors and is currently on sale too.

Otherwise, you could get a Too Faced peach palette and hop onto the peachy trend.

You could do "sunset" eyes with the Natasha Denona Sunset palette,  or a ColourPop Yes, Please. For purpley looks, there's the Natasha Denona Lila palette too. ND is quite up there in price though as a forewarning.

For a mix of everything there is the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk, or her smaller Obssession palettes! My personal favorites for those are Warm Brown and Mauve.

I hope this helps!
