When you qualify for rouge status...

Every previous year when I qualified for another year of rouge I received a bonus of points but this year I didn’t. Did something change? I believe it was 750 points last year....

I'm confused.

 

When we quality for Rouge status, we get nothing?

 

Is this correct?  Can someone please confirm?

@kevinbt - same as everyone here - qualified prior to Jan 2020 and Didn’t get any sort of notification of the change - disappointing

I just emailed customer service about this very thing. Sephora should have sent out email with change. It's very disappointing. I already felt like the rewards were nothing like what they used to be. Now this. Sephora, we are loyal customers, but you aren't doing anything to ensure that loyalty in the future.

@kevinbt If there is no longer a tier celebration gift, that link needs to be updated. I just want to it and it says it was updated January 1, but it definitely says this:

”Rouge status is conferred on those registered Beauty Insider members who spend a minimum of $1,000 on merchandise online, in U.S. and Canadian stores, in Sephora inside JCPenney stores and Sephora merchandise online at www.jcpenney.com (if you use your registered Beauty Insider email address for the purchase) during one calendar year (January 1st - December 31st). Members receive a tier celebration gift when they qualify for Rouge status. Rouge status is good for the calendar year in which the Beauty Insider member qualifies and the following full calendar year; after that, annual requalification is required. Sephora may, in its sole discretion, alter, limit, or modify the Rouge tier rules, regulations, benefits, eligibility for membership, or any other feature of the Rouge tier or may terminate the Rouge tier at any time in its sole discretion, without prior notice.

If you read down in the sections regarding the Rouge and VIB Tier gifts (sections 9 and 11), you see this:

 

"9. Rouge Tier Celebration Gift
Effective January 1, 2020, this program benefit will not be offered to new or re-qualifying Rouge members. Selections made by Rouge members in 2019 will be honored through 2020.

For the remainder of 2019, new Rouge members, and Rouge members who requalify for Rouge, are eligible to choose from three tier celebration gift options: 750 bonus points, FLASH shipping or up to 4 Makeup Deluxe: The Full-Face Makeover to share."

 

"11. VIB Tier Celebration Gift
Effective January 1, 2020, this program benefit will not be offered to new or re-qualifying VIB members. Selections made by VIB members in 2019 will be honored through 2020.

For the remainder of 2019, new VIB members, and VIB members who requalify for VIB, are eligible to choose from three tier celebration gift options: 500 bonus points, free standard shipping with a $35 minimum purchase or 2 Makeup Deluxe: The Full-Face Makeover to share."

 

Though I do agree that sections 4 & 5 (where your quote came from) really should be updated with the correct info as well.

@RGbrown thanks, I hadn’t seen that. It really should be fixed because it’s confusing. With everything they’ve taken away and how hard it is to get any exclusive rewards, I really don’t see what motivation there is to be Rouge at this point. I might hit it, but Ulta keeps adding brands and has so much better rewards that I’m just naturally moving my spending. 

Also, does anyone know how to see your spending/points? I thought there used to be a link from the Beauty Insider page, but I can’t seem to find it.
