Unsuccessful Authorization

Hi there,

I've placed two orders over the last two days. My first order resulted in my credit card being charged twice erroneously for the same order, only for the order status to now read "unsuccessful authorization".

I tried to order again today but with an eGift card, my order once again went through but now reads "unsuccessful authorization".

This is my first time ordering from Sephora and I am mortified by these billing errors and double charges, only for the orders to be unsuccessful.

Please can someone urgently assist.

Kind regards.

Re: Unsuccessful Authorization

Hi @KarenM5,

The transaction amounts from Sephora.com you're seeing on your credit card are temporary authorizations from the failed order attempts. These charges will be dropped from your account by your financial institution usually within 1 to 7 business days. You will not be charged for any unsuccessful order. I'm sorry to hear you are running into these errors while placing an order. I recommend calling in at 1-877-SEPHORA so a Beauty Advisor can assist with placing your order successfully. I hope this information helps. 🙂

Best Regards,

❤️ Raquel
