Unable To Open The Sephora App - Android

I just bought a new Samsung Galaxy s7. It's the identical model to other previous phone; which I had the Sephora app for years without a problem. I downloaded the Sephora App on the new phone, and I can not open the app. At first I thought something was wrong with the download itself, but even after removing and reinstalling the app, I continue to experience the same problem. The app loads, and shows the following error message: "Please make sure the date, time and time zone for this phone is correct. You can check this from you phone settings." 

 

All the above is indeed correct on the phone, so I have no idea why this messages pops up. After I click "OK", the app won't open. Only the traditional Sephora black and white stripe logo is present. In checking the app information on my phone, it shows the app is installed, but yet I can not get the app to fully open.

 

In an effort to determine whether there was something wrong with the app itself, I removed the app from my old phone, and tried reinstalling it from the Play Store. 

It reinstalled and worked perfectly.. I can not determine what could be wrong, and fix it. Any help would be most appreciated!

Thank you, but I managed to fix it late last night..

For anyone else who may encounter this with a new phone, I changed the Date-Time-Time Zone from Automatic to Manual. Restarted the phone, and then switched back to Automatic. Rebooted the phone again, and "Presto" the app opened..

I can not explain why this worked, as from the start the phone was set for EST, as per my New York location.. But ultimately I am just happy it worked, whatever the explanation may be.. Thanks anyway for getting back to me..
