Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

I placed an order online today, thinking that Sephora would have switched to different couriers.  But no… just received a Canada Post tracking number.  WTF Sephora the Canada Post strike has been going on for 10 days now. Why are you still using them for shipping?

Horrible experience with Sephora during this Canada post strike and getting my money back due to it not being sent . I honestly may not shop with them again.

Re: Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

I did the same thing. Got a Canada Post shipping number and in a chat right now where their customer service has the audacity to say that Canada Post is still the best shipping option in some areas!?!? I've requested they cancel the order since I won't get it by Christmas at this point, if ever. I've asked about 20 times now to cancel and I'm still getting a run around. I'm completely disgusted with Sephora. This is our money, and now they get to hold that AND the product hostage?!?!  I'm so pissed off right now! I swear their customer service ppl  are either bots, or completely clueless on how shipping and strikes work!

Re: Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

Absolutely disgusting !!!!!!

Same situation here , my daughter placed an order for me on Black Friday (Christmas presents ) and not expected until mid Jan 2025 !!

Billion dollar company , this is absurd . Every other retailer has made an effort to switch carriers and getting packages delivered within a few days . I haven't had a problem with any other retailer !!

I contacted customer service and also spoke to a supervisor who offered me a refund , no other solution !!

NO I don't want a refund I want my order !! I am going to Boycott Sephora .. I'm done shame on you !

Re: Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

Have the exact same issue, I placed an order on November 8th, and it's been stuck at Canada Post in Toronto ever since. I contacted customer service twice to request a replacement order or have the current one canceled so I could receive it in time for Christmas. Unfortunately, I was told that Sephora isn’t offering any solutions. My only options were to cancel the current order or wait for delivery. When I asked if they would honor the sale price if I placed a new order, they refused. To my surprise the customer service advisor also stated that orders are still being shipped via Canada Post. It’s frustrating that Sephora hasn’t explored alternative carriers like other retailers. To make matters worse, customer service said their role was simply to "be there for us to vent." This response feels both dismissive and unacceptable.

Re: Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

I’ll never shop at Sephora again! EVERY product they sell (except for their own brand stuff, which isn’t great quality tbh) is sold elsewhere! 2 WEEKS after the strike started I placed an order for a $150 item (it’s a Christmas gift for my daughter) and they used Canada Post to ship it. Now I need to spend another $150 because I’m afraid Canada Post won’t be back to work in time for delivery for Christmas. YOU absolutely s*ck Sephora and I hope you lose business!!!!!

Re: Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

In big bold red letters I was told to “keep calm and shop on” because other carriers were being used. All my orders were sent via Canada Post and have delivery dates at the end of January. I have repurchased all items in store or directly from the companies but have doubled my costs until I can return the items when they eventually arrive.

All other businesses have seemed to figure this out. How did anyone think this was acceptable.

Re: Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

So ridiculous!! It said they wouldn’t be using Canada post!! One of my items I can get else’s wear, but the other I got a good black Friday deal?! How is it even legal to do this?!

Re: Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

I even reached out to their customer service to ask if I could pick up my order in stores near me or even 50km away, just so I could have it on time before Christmas. Instead of offering a real solution, I was only given the option to either cancel my order or wait for the shipment. That’s it. No flexibility, no effort to help.

It’s absolutely terrible customer service and such a disappointment. I trusted Sephora, and they’ve completely let me down. Why promise things they can’t deliver on? It’s unacceptable!

Re: Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

Same happened to me! I am willing to come pick it up but they said I need to wait and return it to get this solved. My purchase was made on November 25 and still says label printed and waiting for pick up.

Re: Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

The tone of the email was very much screw you. I’ve never been so disgusted by a company. I waited for the Insider sale because I’m that brand loyal and now they’ve charged be but won’t ship my product.  There wasn’t even a strike when I ordered!

Also I’m not in a rural area, it’s not complicated.

Re: Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

Please note I contacted your team already. I’ve asked to cancel my order given the absolute disregard for customer experience, I will no longer shop with Sephora.

Re: Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

Equally upset about this, they have a headline specifically stating that they'll be using different couriers. I purchased trusting they were going to ship via different courier, but now I have an estimate of Jan. 24th NEXT YEAR for over 200 worth of skin care.. why even state they're using other services when they clearly are not?

Ugh

Re: Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

I feel the exact same way! I also purchased trusting they’d use a different courier, just like they said they would. I bought these as Christmas gifts, and now my order is delayed until January 21st—I’ll also be out of the country by the 19th! It’s so frustrating to spend so much money on gifts only to deal with this kind of mess. Why make promises about using other services when they clearly aren’t following through? It’s beyond disappointing.

Re: Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

Sephora has become garbage! Imagine having Black Friday deals and your busiest time of year, Christmas shopping to continue to ship items using Canada post who is on strike, all because they are the cheapest option! I haven’t had this issue with any other retailer I have purchased from! Do better Sephora, your automated response is useless! We need an Ulta in Canada for some decent competition! I had to cancel an item because customer service chat was annoying and couldn’t help! I don’t need an item shipped January 2 for December Christmas!

Re: Still Using Canada Post despite strike.

I am so annoyed. I live within 20 minutes of two different Sephora stores, in a city, with LOTS of other delivery options, and still my order was shipped by Canada Post. It's too late to cancel my order, but I definitely can't wait for these items and can literally just go to the store next week and purchase them. Sephora - how can you rectify this situation? Either ship my items by another carrier, or cancel the order so I can purchase in store.
