Sephora gift cards are a SCAM

Sephora is involved with scammers. I got a gift card for $250 for my birthday from my boyfriend. It was hacked a few days after he gifted it to me and the scammers stole all the money. Sephora’s system is hacked and they take no responsibility for it. They take peoples hard earned money for their gift cards and ALLOW scammers to retrieve the information through their system and steal this money. They will not assist you with anything and take no responsibility. Claim all cards suffer from this but through my research it really is just Sephora doesn’t care about its security of peoples money and their system is open for all hackers to steal from us. I am seeking legal action and do plan on making this a class action suit. Anyone affected by this needs to speak up!!!!!

This is the same thing that happened to my poor daughter today. Out $100 from her gifts.  ONLY happened with the Sephora gift cards.  What are the chances that these 4 cards that were purchased at different stores, different cities, different times all had ZERO DOLLAR BALANCES!!???

Just happened to me today. My husband gifted me a $200 card and I tried to use it today for the insider sale...had 0 balance. The card was sitting tucked away in a drawer for months. My husband had checked the balance the day he bought it on their website so the balance was 100% there. Sephora says it's been used in US the day after it was purchased. He gave it to me 2 weeks later. We went to US 4 months before the card was ever purchased. 

Saphora won't take responsibility and tells us to contact our credit card company. What the heq. Complete scam. There should be a lawsuit.

I have the same issue. I got 2- 50$ giftcards on march 16th and both were hacked into on April 3rd and had online charges , few in canadian dollars and the balance was 00. But couldnt get any more information from the customer service. Sephora doesnt care about the scam thats going on, they are not even ready to investigate or open a case on it 😞 . PLEASE DO NOT BUY or GIFT SEPHORA GIFT CARDS. Their system is not secure & dont have any controls.

Happened to me today I recieved 2 gift cards $30 and a $50 and I went to use it today and it was used already.? The numbers on the back were also scratched off and not visible and they told me they can’t do anything

Sephora doesn't care because they get their money either way. Happened to many gift cards my daughter received for her birthday and I am mad. Who is ultimately responsible? They all blame each other!
